+ 40% gaming performance compared to GTX680 while the price is 2.5x of the GTX680  :Smile_veryhappy:

It's great but only for those who can afford it, 1 gfx card in the same prize region that could buy you 2xPlaystation3 and 2xXbox 360 consoles is rather insane xD

It's 2 years now, and it's still not the full GK110  :Smile-bajan2:
But there's another cool thing about 700 series - 680=760Ti, the "new" one will be cheaper.  Problem with titan is with it's name. While it's nothing special (just almost full gk110 - build before 2012) - nvidia makes it a "monster/titan/blah", and it's just another way to make cash.

Situation has changed from the previous generation. HD7xxx were here before gtx600, and now the 700 (just further kepler) will be before hd8000. It's the deal between red and green

Its the cuda cores that matter and its got a lot.

Can you imagine something like the NVIDIA GTX 790 ?.

It's the SMX'es and memory bus. It has 14SMX (compared to 8 in 680), which means 175% more computing power. Bus is 150% wider (384bit vs 256). But fps in games isn't based on it, and scaling isn't perfect. Overall performance upgrade over 680 will depend on drivers and games itself.

790? stock  air cooling would totally suck (like this on 590 - many of them just burned due to oc'ing, and problems with vrm). TDP of Titan is pushed down using lower clocks, and efficient power management. 2x250W would require setting even lower frequencies, causing LC the only proper way of cooling. I wouldnt expect 790 made from two titans, but 2x gtx770 are possible (384bit and 9-10SMX basing on latest leaks).

Even four consoles can't run WoT  :Smile_trollface-3:

Personally, i'm waiting for Maxwell (next generation, problably 800 and 900 series). Now mine 560Ti is quite enough.

Here in Denmark the Titan is priced approximately the same as 2x GTX 680, and according to nvidia's website, the GTX 680 SLI performs better than a single Titan card.

But even considering this:

drool... nerdgasm.

Most of the time super computers crush numbers and don't give a shit about graphics. :Smile_trollface-3:

GTX Titan is more orientated towards people who want to play and also use the same computer for 3D modelling/rendering/photoshop, for exemple. Everyone knows you can not have a dual/tri/quad setup if you intend to use the computer for work as there are no reliable drivers and the programs are not compatible with such setups. This card is the best solution to have a good mix for work/play performance.

If you use your computer mostly for playing games then you shouldn`t really buy this graphic card, even if you can afford, as there are alot of other options, some at a fraction of this cost with almost the same performance.

Well for me the Upgrade is more future oriented.. i want to last my Setup now for at least 2 Years

I made a mistake with the EVGA GTX 680 Hydrocopper - as this card comes waterchilled by factory, it will be nearly impossible to sell it at a good price next Year. A Friend buys it from me now at a good Price, and i get the TITAN in - once the TITAN is old in some years, i can build it back to Aircooling and sell it still.. Cos nobody is going to buy an obsolete Card that is Waterchilled - you are just going to dump it after 2 Years

I am not afraid about Driver Issues, i trust in Nvidia.. i had many Years Cards from ATi - and had always a mess.. the Hardware of ATi seemed decent, but the Drivers were always a Nightmare - there were so many Bugs you had to fight against, so i definitely switched to Nvidia, where i experience until today very good Performance and Stability without any strange Issues

Sure, WoT is not really about the Graphicscard Power, we all know that, its more about CPU Speed - it is not even supporting more than one Core - thats an old Topic.. but still, there are other Games to come Crysis3 and Metro2033 and Arma3.. where you can be layed back and confident that it will run smoothly
