They are proper combat boots. And that's some dedication soldier. I think they look smart.

Hm....prefer my owen version of combat boots....
working shoes with a synthetic cap (actually harder than steel), synthetic midsole for penetration resistance, outsole resistance to a few 100 degrees for some time, antistatic and very comfortable to wear.

Two funny facts: As university student my job doesn't really force me to wear workboots, but devoting a part of your time to master self-defense it was a logical step. Best thing? They look like average sneakers making them a perfect cammo in urban environment.

I don't really like people wearing that kind of clothing without having served in the army, knowing how to use it or at least having to wear them because of their job. It's just that to many people wear actual combat clothing to make a statement, but a statement is pretty worthless if you can't fulfill the promise.

And by the way: I love And one, but why didn't you post the original video?

But then again ...
we wear jeans without being cowboys
baseball caps without playing baseball
sport-tricots without playing the sport

i am a big fan of workboots myself (as an engineer, my job does not require them so much)

Well....it's a popular culture thing, I guess! Most people wont associate jeans with cowboys anymore, while combat boots are still associated with military (Beside I prefere cordutory or cotton, or something more durable if I have to go into the wild (once my studies forced me to catch a living duck out of a lake)). It's simply a no go for me, allmost as bad as cybers or gothics who walk around with googles beeing bought at XtraX or any of the other brands! Why? (I'm not even a gothic but belong to techno scene!) Because I'm used that you create your costume from scratch using your owen creativity to create something very uniqe. And once you are done, You are allowed to create your googles as a sign! Buying them corrupts this system and kills creativity. Same goes for combat/army clothing, while jeans and most most sport shirts are so usuall, that I don't bother with them!

@Sirrobert: Perhaps we should discuss your "aesthetic vallue" first?
