How to neutralize the AT-2

Siemka fellow tankers,
I have read some threads on this forum about people finding it difficult to deal with an AT-2, since it has 200mm armor on tier 5.
As I just had the pleasure of meeting on in my cool pz I ausf C, I will now share with you the secret of dealing with one: You make him your prisoner!

I meet the AT-2 at around 12:30, and I keep him tracked untill he gets killed by our arty at ~9:50, note the amount of shots fired(600)
on a slightly related note, the pz I c is awesome

Arty is the solution, possible long range HE from the 105s as well. I can hurt them without problem with the Priest.

I've only fought one, apparently the inner side hull is thin- I tried to track it when it was facing maybe 30 degrees away from me and the shell penetrated for damage (with the T-34's 57mm).
EDIT: Indeed, the inner side hull behind the tracks is just 25.4mm. Tracks act as 20mm spaced armour regardless of angle.
Tier V tanks and some tier IVs should be able to pull it off.

Im grinding chinese line now and in my type t-34 loaded 6 gold ammo for 57mm gun and its works,
now I keep them specially for occasion, if there is no arty or other one, who could penetrate that beast

I used HE from far, then aimed cupola when closer.

Lowest amount of frontal armor on this tank is around 105mm.
LOL weakest part of this tanks frontal armor is 10% stronger than Tiger H s strongest frontal part!

Yup I put one shot into the side of an AT with my KV-1 which caused maximum damage. I was firing HEAT. When the bugger turned on me I fired 4 more HEAT rounds and all bounced. Cupola, Lower Hull and straight into his gun (I tried to break it as by now I was getting a bit desperate)
With the 122mm I would have been better off using those last four rounds with standard HE. Suffice it to say I lost but I got him down to 90HP from my 1st shot.
I too would be interested in how to knock him out without arty support.

Derp guns can slowly (or quickly) chop away its HP. It is very slow, packs mediocre guns and can be damaged through the tracks when angled. This also seem to damage its ammorack quite often aswell. So despite its armour the tank itself is pretty meh.

Panzer I. C turns from being awesome into a pure scout if you get in a tier 5 when you are the only tier 3 and your arty is retarded. Even problems penning a T-50 except flat parts (angled 37mm armor is slightly more effective then the EW141's max pen roll
) Haven't tried it with premium ammo.

ARL 44 counters them too with the DCA 45. Had no problems penning the superstructure with 212 average pen (lucky normal/high pen rolls).

Well if you really like to go in to details so much, then Tiger H strongest frontal part on hull is 120mm. And turret has effective armor (together with spaced armor) 200mm armor in strongest parts on front.
