I think that considering the Americans are having a Saint Patrick's Day event this weekend based on a Irish holiday, is a clear shameful example of the continues attempt to eradicate the Irish cultural significance in EU, US and the rest of the world. I think we should all side with the Irish against Ectar's neo-imperialistic attempt to undermine the significance of Irish culture in ... oh well ... never mind actually. - I just wanted to whine a bit and point out the irony in the Americans getting a special event based on a Irish holiday.

If you have a problem with an event on the NA server, please take your whine to the NA forum.

You should send your complaint to nearest PIRA or Real Sinn Fein office and let them handle it

I for one don't, and I thought I invented irony back in '79. Could you please point out the irony in the OP?

The Irish race is a mighty race. But I think you forget that many of them raced across the ocean to plant some potatoes.

Somewhere there is a bridge with an empty space under it where a troll should be...

St Patrick's Day is huge in America due to all of the people there with ties to Ireland. Chicago dyes its main river green... You don't see that in Dublin or Cork.

New York has a massive parade and party to celebrate it along with other cities like Boston. There is a huge amount of people in the US with ties to Ireland that like to celebrate this event.

I lived in Ireland for 3 years (in Cork) and St Patricks Day was always a massive party with people out in the streets celebrating.

The EU region is also celebrating St Patrick's Day and the news article for that will be up very soon. You won't be disappointed with what's available.

...would it be terribly tasteless to make the joke about how many potatoes are needed to kill an Irishman? :V

Folks in the US tend to claim they're of Irish descent if their great, great, great, grandaddy's brothers uncles dog once ate something green. The rest eat something with Garlic and claim Italian descent  :Smile_veryhappy:

I'm not making any jokes about Ireland or the US on WG forums. Everything is considered slander these days...
