Hi,

the repair of a destroyed T26E4 costs about 8800 credits, of a M4A3E2 Sherman Jumbo about 6600 credits, a M41 Arty about 1500 credits.  but the Chaffee costs about 10000 credits......
thats to much for this lighttank.  If it costs about 2500-3500 credits it will be okay...  Please fix the repaircosts of the M24 Chaffee.

thanks for your interest.

grettings, Shia

Hello,

The M24's repair cost is ok.
It's a scout not a little T26 or sherman and it's at the end of his branch.

M24 isn't a tank for earn money, but if you play it good, you can earn a lot of money.

Cordially, Doc

It's OK, when it was first introduced.

Since then, there have been more tier 10 tanks added that can either easily kill you in one shot, chase you down and kill you in two shots whilst firing on the move, and have the same view range as you.

And aside from that, you also have tanks like the T71 who are better than the Chaffee in almost every way, and still earn credits.

tbh it still performs well im hoping it dosent get hit too hard by the nerf bat when moved to tier 6 which it presumably will as it was a bit worse than t50-2 and vk with heat ammo.

in short its ok at the mo for me but i hope it dosent get worse

M24 is on the end of the scout line so repairs will be high...its like repiars for 10th tier(on the end of the line too).

Sorry but it's time to rebalance the chaffee, It was debatably worth those repair costs about 3-4 upgrades ago but it is time to get it more in line with the new realities of the newer tanks in recent updates... Just saying it's the top scout tier wise is just specious and frankly BS. It WAS there but now has been superceded by all the new er um 'light' tanks that cost less to operate. (T71 anyone?) If it was a holy terror on the battlefield then mebbe leaving it alone would be the best option. But is nowhere near a terror except to yer pocketbook. It is better operated as a light medium than a mediocre scout... I gotta feeling if their gonna pop it up a tier then there will be a balancing at that time....

So in short... It is time....

L8r all :)

It can not be, that a LIGHT! Tank costs mpore repair then a bigger tank, end of line or not... and what end of line, as a T5 Tank???  give him a T10 cannon and we can talk about the repaircosts...

*M24 isn't a tank for earn money, but if you play it good, you can earn a lot of money.*

tell me how???? what will you kill??   No... it is neccessary to change the costs, there are many better scouttanks then the Chaffee now.

I usually earn in it and often come top of the xp parade, that being said i like it and have had it since a week after its release so have some practice in it.  Its view range still is usefull as is its camo.

I think that maybee your not using it as the passive scout, stealth hunter it should be.  Yes the t71 is a good scout but the chaffee still has it in certain respects (mostly because my chaffee crew are a bit handy)

Well we are talking average players other than the uber ones that may do well on the Chaffee... Fix the Chaffee please :)

The chaffee is fine, the only problem is getting too many low-tier battles, imo.

The sad news is that even when they nerfed the VK 2801 so did they keep the high repair cost so it's unlikely they will change that with the Chaffee either when it gets bumped to tier 6.

Last time I played it it was around 8k I think,to be honest... This is a good thing. Expensive enough to make people care to play it well as a scout and really cheap compared to what I remember. I'm pretty sure that back in old days it was over 15k for the tank when fully wrecked, so yeah don't complain it's an end of line tank that is great to play and unlike the other dedicated scouts has a great gun and can mount a vertical stabiliser.

I run mine with vents, coated optics and vertical stabiliser. Usually scout early on from a bush or other spot that won't be likely to kill me. Then at the right time either go for ambushing enemy mediums/heavies from the rear while they are engaged in a fight or break through and kill/spot artillery. It consistently makes money from the spotting part alone (on average, there will be good and bad rounds ) if you do it right. So yea, to the OP learn to use the tank it's great fun for scouting also a good crew is a strong addition. Camo and sixth sense make it a fair bit easier. One thing is true though as a main income source you're better off looking elsewhere.

Edit reason: split first part and personal experience part with it up

T-21 and T-71 should be after the chaffee (and skip that stupid M7) and the chaffee shouldn t be the end of the line. like the ELC, u have the amx series after.
leopard is tier54 an d dont cost that much, ELC, too.

only the t50-2 as the repair cost bill of the chaffee.

i play way less my chaffee and t-50 2, because of the repair bill..

The Chafee will most probably get ‘rebalanced‘, WG-style, only not as hard as the VK2801, since it is a USA tank, and that area is a large enough money source, so they dont want to piss off the demographic... wait and see.

On which planet do you think Chaffee is ok in its high teired battles and costing more then most heavies for repair.. Its long gone scince it was end of line scout and putting a teir 5 into a teir 10 battle ?!! you have by far better scouts now which take place from teh chaffee.. it needs rebalancing and dropping a couple of teirs in battle rating.. simple as

..

You might have noticed that they're giving an income buff (~10%)  to all Tier 6-10 tanks.  Not for the Chafee or T-50-2 though - wtf?

I think it's pretty OP multi role tank compared to tier 6 lights with the same MM or tier 6 mediums and it still sees a quite lot of tier 7 or tier 8 battles. Small income is price to pay for having a good chance to influence these low tier battles. Something like paying for gold ammo on regular tanks for better chance of victory. Play it for fun and just ignore it. I believe that other players loose even more money on tier 9-10.

Killing stuff with light tanks that have the scout role is secondary.
Your primary role is "spotting" (don't forget that)

You want to stay out of sight for the most part of a round and only come out when there is no more spotting to be done.
Unless ofcourse you end up in one of those crazy "arty parties"....
