This tank if so OVERPOWERED if you compare it to other T9 mediums....

T54 vs Panther II....??  LOL....bad joke...
T54 vs M26 pershing....??  LOL....even worse joke...

don't nerf it, just make other two mediums more desirable...
It would be smart to make M26 pershing a tier 8 tank and take that 105mm gun off it...And make M48 patton a T9 USA medium...

And give it realistic armor...120mm hull front -> 99mm hull front

1,230 per shell

What 100mm AP shells cost that much? Considering they have a high ROF means lots of credits wasted on ammo. Are you lieing?

Have you seen the tanks you compare fully upgraded in 1on1? Do you drive any of the mentioned tanks? I am just asking since im driving t54 myself and would love to compare it to the other t9 meds but didnt had a chance so far.
Also, if you know how these tanks perform, telling us the reasoning behind your point of view would be way more enlightening than "LOL....bad joke...".

I agree. Earning 170k XP to unlock the Panther 2 isn't worth it right now. Panther 2 needs access to ALL the King Tiger guns for me to be interested. And the Pershing needs more armour.

Has anyone even seen a Panther II in the wild yet? Of the three all I saw last night were T54s and one Pershing.
Based on the numbers I do not see how a Panther II would stand a chance against this thing. The Panther II will be great at killing tier 5 and 6 and maybe even 7 mediums,  but totally out classed by a T54. And it is way more expensive to elite.

Well you easly can penetrete PII with 100mm form the front, try the same on a T54...  :D

this

I haven't fought any Panther IIs that had anything more than a 75mm gun, or pershings that were using the 90mm.

I think the amazing 105mm guns of the two will make up for the significantly better survivability of the T-54.

Why would you want the guns from the KT?

I've been up against 4 p2s and killed 2 in straight up fights. Only 1 had the 88.
Other 2 I had help.

I've noticed people are using he against me a whole lot. In 5 games last night, 3 in a row, first shot took out my gun.

Just got mine...
and ran it for one battle... into a T54, IS, SU152, and a jagdtiger.
Got annihilated of course pwnage, but I noticed I bounced a lot of the T54 shots.

And then its server maintenance time :(
ARGHHHHH.

Still, from what I've seen of it at stock, it's freaking awesome!

Actually the T-54 M1946 has 120mm glacis and 200mm turret front thickness. So from this viewpoint, those numbers are realistic.
After the tank proved too front heavy, the later variants (T-54 M1949 and M1951, T-54A) get 100mm (or 99mm, what you prefer) glacis, and early version of the turrets get 180mm turret front.

Just for clear-up: i find the T-54 overpowered in the game too, but in historicaly, those numbers can be jugded as correct.

ok, then why is the 2nd turret for the T54 called "T-54 mod. 1949" but it has more armor the the first with 200/160/65?

I don't have a T54 and i don't even want to have because it looks like shit...

But i fought against them (in my T29, which is total shit after patch...-.-); and they own me big time, they bounced 6 (six goddamnit!!!) shot to frontal hull and side armor from my 105mm....sad, and that's only firepower and armor, mobility also wins on T54 (obvious)
But i also fought against Panthers II; i didn't have to much problems with them, 1 on 1 i would easily take stock Panther II down, it's even if pather has 75mm/100 gun or 88mm/81, i didn't fight against 105mm PantherII guns, but i think that with a bit of luck i could take them out...

So a tank that costs the same and takes just as long to grind up shouldn't be able to compete with tanks in the same tier? Oh god the whine has begun.

Mediums are more capable at destroying lower tier tanks, with their faster reload, faster turret and faster speed. They shouldnt be able to take on Heavies solo of the same tier (without luck and/or skill), because the heavies have a reduced focus; their job is to hit the big stuff, whilst taking as many shots from them and everyone else. Mediums are more multi-tasking tanks, which is why I'm training it up now.

Ask the developers. :D

Not in here, because here only the wargaming.net staff read it, and they won't know nothing about the how and why's (i'm experienced this, when try to understand the working principle of the sight/camo system...). Register in the russian WoT, and then go on the russian forum, where the real developers are read and sometimes answer the questions. ;)

And yet another post-war tank... And i think its safe to say that its just too strong. My KT (short 105) Bounced 5 shells on green spots (Gun,Driver hatch) before he killed me. Just what are devs thinking ?

i really am bored of seeing people saying 'postwar tank bla bla bla'. WoT is about tanks from 1930's to the korean war era.

I've heard that in the past in my T-44 and, in the right circumstance, have done it.

In a T-54 though?  Sure it can scout but this thing can hang with the big boys.

Not sure how you can be disappointed with this tank though.  Lemme know if you have better luck with it.

i'm quite happy to scout if there's half the enemy team dead etc, but in this case it was caminovka with at least 5 is7's on each side, quite reluctant. before being bombarded to death i did notice i bounced a large number of shells from a heavy dense forest.

oh well, only two battle so far, we'll see how it goes.
