Also one replay for today. Tier 8 match, outperformed each of 29 other tanks.
You just have to know how to position yourself, take advantage of the situation, and harass the enemy from behind using your great DPM.
And fuel the raging T25/2's rage in the chat in the process.

And again, notice that no premium ammo was used until those last few shots at the IS-3.
Did someone say tank lacks firepower?

I instantly regret selling T21. T71 is piece of crap compared to T21.
Pretty much you only gain higher penetration value but you are limited to 6 rounds in magazine with insanely long reload. You can't really go brawling with other tanks.  You can only kill low hp targets or empty your clip and run away. Not enough shells to finish off 2 artys.
2.5s reload between 70 shells or 2 seconds for 6 shells and 20 secs of reload. Which is better? yeah..

i'm still grinding my t21 but from what i've heard and seen the t71 is an absolute beast! It's obvious you won't have good battles with it if you're trying to brawl with tier 9/10 tanks. Try  to do some passive/active scouting in the first half of the game. In the second half you can finish of the remaining tanks, but make sure you engage tanks cut off from the rest of the team. Don't just run in to a group of five tanks like a total trackpadder.

Kudos to you guys who can play the T21 one of my happiest days in WoT was selling that thing.

T71 is an improvement IMHO started off hating it as much as the T21 but slowly getting the hang of it now.

In both cases my fault entirely not the tanks I'm just not a scout driver but the idiotic way they arranged this tree forces me to be  :blinky:

problem with this tank is that it's a cromwell with better camo rating but scout matchmaking

Well at first i was HATE this tank grrrrrrrrrrrr  but today it clicked in... I only got 84% crew and running rammer vents and cammo net (not a set up for this tank i dont think but what was spare in my gear lol)   any ways showed the T8s the fire power this thing can do if you take your eyes off it for just a second.

Hello! Finally, my 2 week forum posting ban has ended. :hiding:

About a week ago, I felt that I had been grinding the same few tanks over and over again for far too long. Since I had about 3 mil credits to spend I figured I might as well try some new tanks so I bought a KV-2 (totally worth all the credits spent on it and equipment) and used free experience to skip about 15k XP on the M7 to unlock the T21.

I have now around 80 games in the T21 and am about to get 6th sense, and I must say - I really love this little tank. Having started WoT with the US medium tank line, I have always liked the M1A2 gun (on the E8 even though it suffers from power creep greatly..), also, the T20 is one of my favorite tanks. So, it seems that the T21 is the perfect scout for my taste - has the so familiar looks of a T20, has the so familiar M1A2 gun (with the AMAZING accuracy on the move) and, most importantly (compared to both the T20 and the E8) is a very mobile tank :)

I SOOO enjoy fighting 12ts, 13 75s and even 13 90 at times. Chinese LTs have been a tougher nut to crack since they bounce more. Also, up to tier 8 mm you can totally troll isolated heavy tanks by circling them to death. As for the ammunition, I carry 10 APCR but think I will up it to 20, and do not feel more than that is ever needed.

Have the T71 as well, with just the engine upgraded, feels fun too but I have always disliked its futuristic looks..

After 49 battles the T21 has been sold and the T71 bought, sad moment leaving a tank ive had so much fun in, a 64% win rate, ACE tanker and several 'oh no, ive run out of ammo' games.

So far ive had 10 games in the T71 and im not having as much fun (just need the radio to elite it) although its a great passive scout and also a great finisher.   This maybe just getting used to an auto loader but time will tell.

I will definitely consider either keeping a T71 or a T21 once I have researched the T69 but at this moment in time, its the T21 in front.

Just finished the T71 grind as well. Didn't like it as much as I liked the T21.

I feel T21 has a lot more flexibility due to much better gun depression and the fact it's not an autoloader. You don't have to expose your whole tank when taking sneaky shots.

Also, the autoloader on T71 was more of a pain in the butt than an advantage because you can't easily switch between regular and prem shells when needed. You either have to spam prem ammo constantly or run a risk of not being able to pen when you need to.

In either the T21 or T71, I have found 90% of teams will not ask, but demand you rush off.

Yep, I've played quite a good deal of scouts (two of them are my top played tanks) and I was never asked to suicide rush and I was never teamkilled (some people say they get TK-ed "all the time". We must be playing a different game).

Never been team killed over it, but do get told to "do my job".

One chap tried to get other players to report me for not scouting.

Things just got better :P got 6th sense finally!

I am an average player and a scout but damn I love it when you know it was you who made sure your team could damage the enemy tanks efficiently thanks to your scouting!

In the mean time i finished grinding this little beast!

it took me 102 battles to unlock the T71 (no prem).

And this was my best game with the t21:

1852 base exp

Still loving this thing even though I have had the T71 unlocked for a while now.

Looks like a T21's younger brother, maneuvers well enough, and the rate of fire and accuracy on the move is very good for fighting other scouts. Also, what I have been specially fond of lately, spam-shooting HE rounds at high tier tanks when they are in strong positions and I can not really get to the weak spots. Damn, does it get their attention :)

Just got it 2 days ago. Really like it. Been playing alot with VK28 and T21 feels way more nimble. Really enjoy the turning speed.

Big strongpoint for this tank IMO. Good climber too. Great for spotting in hills/mountains.

Do some passive spotting/hillspotting at the start and then go flanksniping or artyhunting.

I got the 4 artykills medal on first day in this tank.Nice...

Been getting good MM. But that can be due to IS6 quest. Lots of Tier6 players on.

I personally dont use gold ammo. But like Trollisljotiresns said. Keep blasting those Tier 10 biguns with HE from sniping position.

And watch the fools start raging at you in chat after 5 crits....I just smile.

Just cant decide wich gun I like best m1a2 is great but also like 6pounder alot.

m1a2 is better for HE I guess.

Its hard playing scout. But  I hope people wont give up on them to much.We need more scouts out there.

And when you start getting the 4K spottingdamage games it really gets the most fun line,I think.

I confirm! It is a very fun little tank.
Though I can't seem to do well in a scouting role but more in a flanker role. That cannon sure helps!

Also, like the fellows above me said, it can climb like a spider and turn very fast, but the poor armor and rather large size make it dependent on the view range and sixth sense, as the second you are spotted... well, you know, it isn't that hard to hit it. :arta:

My best game so far: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=yScriJ6dCe8
