Hi All,

Here is an extract from the 8.5 patch notes.
It's not much but it's worth sharing  :smile:
  • Fixed rare bug when a shell with low damage value disappears (no module damage after hitting the gun with high HP value)
  • Fixed the bug with causing full HE damage to an external module when it penetrated with HE shell.
  • Fixed hit and HE explosion when shooting through the destroyed open-top turret tanks.
  • Fixed the bug when a shell explosion is displayed in the air.
  • Destroyed tanks do not absorb the HE damage anymore. HE shells explode on the surface of destroyed tanks now.
  • Fixed the bug with no damage dealt to the small and light tank it on the big and heavy opponent.
  • Fixed rare bug with lack of fuel tank damage indication (when it was destroyed)

So now when you park next to a destroyed vehicle and someone shoots that corpse with a HE shell all the damage is deflected onto you and the surrounding vehicles/enviroment?

Destroyed tanks are not absorb the HE damage anymore. HE shells explode on the surface of destroyed tanks now.

Really good job wg. more games for arty.

Until now I gladly used this "feature" of wrecks absorbing arty rounds, but even if this is a positive change for arty, I still support it. Disappearing explosives is just stupid.

That was always bugging me. Why the shell just magically disappears after hitting a wreck? That was too silly. Good call. And I'm not that much of an arty player. Mainly heavies here.

well sorry but its closer to the reality and its nothing about arty... they dmg you now alrdy in this case if not you r lucky cuz they somehow hit the corpse

its a advantage to HE using tanks and its not a lot out there BUT its a big bonus to hit capping enemy tanks which hide behind dead tanks and I like it if you ask me :)

will this be all there is to come in the 8.5 patch, or is there additional stuff just not mentioned yet?

just asking.... havent seen a patch in a long time that didnt add any tanks or maps or simply just more stuff than bug-fixes. not that i wanna mug about it, just got used to it... :)

They have also written something in the "coming soon" section about a new map.


New Map: Pearl River

The battles on this map take place high in the mountains and in a remote city settled on the shores of the Pearl River.
There isn't as much cover from artillery fire as you may be comfortable with, but there is plenty of vegetation and low hills to help you stay out of sight. There are many avenues of approach to each of the asymetrically placed flags--choose wisely. According to our development team, the best defence for this map is a strong offence!



They introduced a Tier 10 TD that can one-shoot other T10 Mediums or TD's, and now they plan to implement another map where everyone will be camping as they know that the Arty will get the one who moves first. Good Job, WG!

Yep those GW Tiger / S51/ Su14/ 212/ GW Type E / T92  will have some very good time indeed  :trollface:  a ~30meter T92 splash now cannot be stopped

In short:
- plenty of cover, so scout/spotter won't get hit by tanks
- no arty cover, so artillery can kill anyone easily.

Yaaaay, hope that this map will be at least as good as my BELOVED El Haluf! Go Wg go!

I liked that 'bug'!

Only saw it once, tripped me out, thought HE shells were exploding in air/ hit air ceiling or something, debris raining down.
Things all got rather real for a moment as I raced out past the Abbey in my FV4202..

Shame..

Can we keep that bug? It was cool..

also heard some "rumors" that the 2nd german med tree will be completed ( the leopard) ....
