yeah, why do you play world of tanks?

I can start with my opinion:

I think world of tanks is more forgiving than FPS games. when you do a mistake in Battlefield or Call of duty (though i dont play that  :teethhappy: ) you die, and you start over again.

and in world of tanks you do an error, get one shot for it, and you have to consider what to do next.

you can face the enemy and its not over in a blink, and its requiers more than quick reactions and accuracy, but in world of tanks there is both+ what to do AFTER you have shot.

and all the factors that are included that make the game epic.

but it sure have it flaws.

what is yours? :P

I like the tactical thinking game.. Outplay (or get outplayed by) others.

Remember your tanks strengths and the foo's weaknesses. And use that knowledge

At first it was my interest in (historical) tanks. With the increasing numbers of fictional and post wwII tanks, the big, game breaking arty parties in high tier games and those hordes of zombis out there, all that drives me back to this game from time to time are a few good friend with who i enjoy to platoon...

I still see a lot of potential in this game, but gaming experience is flawed by far to often.

There are no hackers to worry about and I don't have to rent decent guns for a month like some other F2P games.
If I don't have premium I can keep playing whats in my garage and don't lose my progress.
Even though the MM can be flawed I don't have to face some one with a weapon that can fire 600 rounds a minute because they have more cash than me(Yes. I understand about Gold ammo).

A free com channel to use if I wish.
I can join TC's without being in a clan or make or get invited to join platoons.

Because no one can choose the maps they play in randoms you don't get 'one map wonder' players who play only on a particular map to pad their stats like other F2P games, you have to learn all the maps as best you can because you never know where your going to end up when you press the battle button.

For all its flaws it has a lot more going for it than other F2P games.
But mostly...I like tanks.

1) I am interested in World War 2, especially the tanks and their development (but also planes, ships, the military in general, actually)
2) This game requires more thinking then a first person shooter, and is less based on reflexes
3) I have not yet heard of a game like WoT (War Thunder does not count, that is with aircraft).

Watched a few of the Greatest Tank Battles documentaries on the history channel and found them very interesting. Did a search online one day for tank info and found there was a multiplayer tank game called WOT.
Jumped in, had fun and the 360 is now sitting idle in the other corner.

I was a big fan of vehicle combat games, I always liked the "run and gun" thingy but only with vehicles, so once I came up with the though: so, I like driving things and shooting, what's the thing that have both at the same time and gives you a nice feeling of power?
After some years I found WoT in which I found all I was wishing for:
-Tanks
-Big guns
-No infantry
-No need to apply brain so much to have a decent match

I've always been a huge fan of tanks, I have a few tank books and the like.  So when a game dedicated to only tanks comes along I'm definately interested.  Though why this one specifically? Cause its the only one so far.  I still hope for others to come out to provide competition as it generally makes things better for the consumer.
