Good morning folks. I'll be heading off to university in the Netherlands this year, and for the first time in a few years I'll be able to go on vacations myself for reasonably affordable prices. (Its extremely expensive to travel anywhere from Stavanger, Norway) So now I have so many opportunities but no idea what to do first.

That is why I've come to you. Do you folks have any suggestions of places to go in Europe which I could afford on a student budget? I was thinking either the Côte D'Azure or perhaps Lago di Garda? What do you think?

Jeez, ..student budgets in Noway must be superb.

I'm, oops, ..we're, off to Sorrento in Italy next month, taking in Pompeii, Naples, Capri, and Vesuvius.
Maybe that'd be pretty cool for you too.

Well we Dutch have this habit of camping, so that's the only reason that the Côte D'Azure is even an option!

As for your vacation, that sounds superb! I've never been further south than Rome myself, so that'd be an interesting trip idea...

Depends on what kind of vacation:

-Northern Germany, Lübeck, Hamburg, etc... espacially Lübeck is a wonderful old city and worth a visit!
-Antalya (Turkey): Take last minute, you get a 5-star hotel with (Ultra) All-inclusive, 35-40°C guaranted! Clouds? They don't even know what clouds are! Antalya is very cheap for what you get there, but it's more for relaxing than something else (you can also make visits).
