In this episode I talk to "Ian" one of the very lucky few who drives and maintains the mechanical side of "Tiger 131"

I want to personally thank Ian for doing this, as he was not keen on being filmed   but I really wanted you all to hear from someone with experience/hands on knowledge.

Thanks all.

Lol, only two more mate, and both are the interior. It is such an iconic vehicle I believed it was worthy of the detail,,, or maybe not

Personally, I am more interested in the interior part of the Tiger; nevertheless, a nice video

Question: are there going to be "Inside the Tank" videos for other tanks as well, like: PzIV, t-34, Crusader, Sherman, Firefly etc?

Can anyone tell me, what are those pipes on top of the engine deck for? What are those strange things that are to the left and right of the exhaust? Is this some kind of air filtering devices for the desert or what?

The pipes I think you are talking about are for air delivery to the air cleaners, the air (pre) cleaners are to the left and right of the silencers.   Spot on, designed for dusty conditions.

Hello all
I bet the inertia start on a Tigers Maybach has been known to make a few of the the unlucky tankers sweat a little, well of the ones who got to do it  :amazed:
It most certainly looks a tricky process with the adaptor plate, you wouldn't like to do that in a hurry on the field  :amazed:
But all I can say is thank goodness in World of Tanks it doesn't happen
Thanks again The_Challenger and Ian, I thoroughly enjoyed yet another fantastic episode.

Kind Regards All
IPaul72

Known as 'Feifel' air filtration systems normally seen on early Tigers (like 131 which was used in desert conditions) and not common on later war production versions

Absolutely impossible. They would never in a million years allow a foreign camera crew in there.

"In there" is "In Kubinka", for those who do not know where the last Maus is sleeping.  :smiles:
They do allow foreigners in, just not with cameras. But maybe WG could get access and take some pictures. German vehicles are not "top secret" anymore, unlike some of the Russian experimental tanks.

There is a video of Maus from Kubinka on youtube: link to yt

Thanks again Challenger for a great videoand big thanks to this Ian fellow, he performed really well. Can't wait for the interior videos. And no, there's not too much of these videos, there could be even more of them.    Keep up the good work mate!
