Balkenkreuz - was a representation of the Iron Cross used on both Luftwaffe and Wermacht vehicles. In WW1 (probably earlier too) the cross was flared at the ends but it was changed by WW2 and I believe it is still used today

buster...the "balkenreuz" as we see it on the tanks ingame might be illegal to be shown in germany ( like all nazi-symbols and signs ).

the german army nowadays uses a sign looking more like a "tatzenkreuz"

Of course not, as long as if it's not swastika.

pandrey, i am not quite sure about the illegality of this cross...if it is illegal, you may have trouble with the authorities showing it in public ( like the ss runes, the raised right arm or the hakenkreuz f.e.. this will DEF. cause trouble )

in any case the most dangerous thing you have to consider who you let see it...show it to the wrong people and you NEED the authorities...

i just found this (german) wikipedia link...the balkenkreuz is not mentioned...

http://de.wikipedia....ole_und_Zeichen

PS: i just found another article in wikipedia saying that this cross replaced the hakenkreuz within the call of duty games to be able to sell them in germany...so it should not be illegal to have such cross as a tattoo...

look to the bottom of this article
