As much as I love Tanks I also have a fondness for aircraft especially the Avro Vulcan. In the world there are so many planes that capture the imagination and take our breaths away but not many can compare to be as awe inspiring as a Vulcan gracing the skies and the tremendous noise it creates when taking off  :glasses: . I've never witnessed one fly before but I'm hoping to this year if the Vulcan XH558 can be made good in time for the UK air shows.
So with that in mind I have greedily created this thread to share pics, videos and stories.  :teethhappy: Any other fans of the Avro Vulcans alive and kicking round ere?

The Vulcan howl is terrifying but also incredible. Watch this video and be amazed by the noise and grace:-  http://www.youtube.c...ature=endscreen

I heard that she is grounded indefinitely due to the cost of extensive repairs/maintenance

I do however remember going to air shows in the 80's and seeing multiple Vulcans in the air at the same time, the good old days.

She isn't grounded, she will be back this year.Roaring and ready she will be attending the RAF Cosford’s 75th Anniversary Air Show :glasses:Yeah it would be awesome to see more than one Vulcan up in the air but one itself is just mind blowing.
