A quick search show this is a PzKpfw V Panther Ausf D hull combined with a Pz IV turret, one of the  Hybrid of the SchPzAbt 653. (Heavy panzerjager Battalion)

Heavy tank destroyer battalion. 653th was second battalion to have Ferdinands/Elephants. Also, that Panthers turret couldn't move as it was bolted on place.

They also had this:

Quite exact, thank you. It was a Panzerjager battalion.

And I think the story behind the tank was a need for a commander vehicle, and they simply bolted down a spare turret without trying to adapt it. They tank was not meant to fire it's gun. Just protect the important guy inside.

It was a command vehicle IRL.

It had a bolted pz 4 turret with a wooden gun (couldn't fire even if it wanted too) and extra radio equipment added for communication.

in game it's a tier 6 premium tank with a pz 4 turret that actually does move but it has no gundepression what so ever. it has a slightly worse engine then the real panther but it's much lighter thanks to the smaller turret and gun so it's top speed is 55 km/h instead of 48 like the panther. the turning speed kills it though because it seems to have stock panther tracks making it turn like a beached whale.

on a plus it still weighs around 40 tonnes and at 55 km/h it will do more damage to on tier vehicles then the gun ever could. plus the armor is actually pretty decent on teir 6.
it got special mm now a days because that 75L48 just doesn't cut it on tier 8 (like normal tier 6 MM) so it's tier 7 max.

pretty funny tank to play ones in a while, it's my only med were i got the medal for killing 2 td's/heavys that are atleast 2 tiers higher then your own tank (managed to flank a object 704 and a IS-7  while they were focussing on our heavys and slowly chipped them to death still very proud of that medal)

No know photos exist on the connection of the turret TIKO

But it is known that the turret was fixed. Due to the lack of bins and skirts on the rear of the turret, so that the engine deck can be opened.
Although I've never heard of the wooden gun either.

Oh, and the Tiger P in game is based on 643. battalion Tiger P (only Porche Tiger ever to see real service) that had bolted extra 100mm armor.

The gun could fire, they had to use the tank like a TD, turning the hull where they wanted to aim.
apparently a prototype panther had a Pz Iv turret that could turn tossed it as well to test how the hull handled gun recoil. I have heard but can't find sources to it im afraid. As the first specs called for a L/48 gun for the panther but they then upped it to the L/71 very shortly after.
Pz Iv and a panther have a very very close turret ring size (Same?) and if it's not off by at most 10-50mm, an easy modification if they wanted to put it on for testing.
tank is very very poor in game, could use some tweaks.

s.Pz.Jg Abt. 653 constructed and tested a number of 'special' vehicles, they were authorized by Major Grillenberger and the work was carried out by the battalions master armourer Stabsfeldwebel Anton Brunnthaler.  The vehicles constructed were as follows:

1 Bergepanther with a Pz IV turret - bolted in place complete with working gun.
1 Bergepanther mounting a 20mm quad anti-aircraft gun.
1 Russian T-34 mounting a 20mm quad anti-aircraft gun - the armoured turret side walls were cut out of a destroyed SPW 251.
2 Russian T-34's used as ammunition carriers.

As mentioned they also requested and received a Tiger VK4501(P) which was used  as a command vehicle.
