Since I started playing WoT, I've become quite the tank addict, reading a lot about them and the battles of WWII. Occasionally, I come across pictures that make me stop and think for minute or two. Three, in the case of this picture. The utter devestation. The artillery piece, in seemingly good condition. The dead soldier in the bottom corner.

Nothing says it like a b&w photo.

Those 8.8cm gun had been additioned after the bombing of Berlin.  Was the last resistance of the Reichtag by the 33th SS Division Charlemagne , French division. This is the most surprising think.

that artillery is a famous 8,8 / L56.

they defended berlin with everything they had left.
Especially interesting imo (out of the sight of tankers) is the "borgward wanze"

It shows what war brings. Destruction and death. I think tanks are cool, but I really hate what they're made for.
