So....

it's zombie apocalypse, you can pick and take 2 weapons with you.
What do you take?

Try to explain your choices.

P.S vehicles and non-existing weapons not included.

I would take:

1. VHS Assault Rifle with it's utilities
2. Katana - in case of no ammo :P

So VHS is a prototype assault rifle. Quite durable, has nice RoF, nice stopping power and easy to service.
Nice in case you need some firepower.

Katana is a weapon which only needs some maintenance and no ammo. And as such would come in handy.

A MG36, basic G36 modified into an LMG capable of using either normal STANAG magazines or special Beta-C bagazines with 100 rounds, also features a bipod and a heavy barrel.

Second a De Lisle. Its a british bolt-action silenced carbine from WWII, credited for being the most silent carbine to be ever produced. It is infact so quiet, that reloading the next shot is louder than the actual gunshot itself.

Crossbow takes a while to reload...

The carbine sounds interesting for  stealth operations.

This is easy... I`ll take my wife!

Trust me, no zombie will be crazy enough to get anywhere close after she starts talking.

[EDIT]With such a primary weapon, I really have no use for a secondary. Unless I can find one more woman that talks as much...

It's better than a regular sword, since swords are meant for piercing the armor and therefore have more mass. Slower to use, need more stamina. As zombies don't wear armor, a slashing weapon like Katana is a better option.
Having some utilities to keep it sharp should not be so hard to find.

They are not feather light as it seams in the movies. But not that heavy.
You also need to know some basics as in everything.

But let's say zombies are not master swordsmen.

1. AK47, possibly best gun ever
2. Nukes, always handy to set one off when guns fail :justwait:

AK-47 is a classic.

Nukes might be tricky to use. Not really for emergencies. Can't really escape them.

1) Tank shells - Setting them off as IEDs in case of close hordes.
2) Sledge hammer - Very simple weapon and bludgeoning ones work best against undead (at least according to D&D)
