don't need a new one right now but i would want to replace my razer black mamba at some point because i hate it alot because of many technical hardware problems with it so i would never buy from razer again because of the build quality

anyone know any good high end mouses i could take alook at and don't say razer or logitech btw i have had 2 mx revolution mouses from them and they have both failed after a year and yes mouses do last a long time because i had a old horrific mouse ball mouse that i had with my windows 98 computer and that lasted a solid 7 years with no problems of gaming so i know it is perfectly possible to make a good long lasting mouse

my price limit is 150 pounds if it is in reason and it can be wired but it most not use a ps2 pc connection due to security vulnerabilitys

thankyou : ) i will take a close look at them mouses but like i said i dont want to spend another 80 pound on a logitech mouse just for it to break in a year or so heh : )  but thankyou everyone for your help on this matter

I would suggest to avoid both Razer and Gigabyte ones. Best mouse I have had was Logitechs. But sadly I don't know any good computer mouse.

I can recommend Logitech G400, but that's not really high end.

I would say Saitek makes maybe the best mouses.

Ofc then there are Razer too. They felt cheap at my arm...
Gigabyte been starting create awsum mouses too... Maybe try one?

Roccat Kone XTD is nice (my brother is satisfied with older version of Kone)

Technical Specifications:
Pro-Aim Laser Sensor R3 with up to 8200dpi
1000Hz polling rate
1ms response time
12000fps, 10.8megapixel
30G acceleration
3.8m/s (150ips)
16-bit data channel
1-5mm Lift off distance
Tracking & Distance Control Unit
72MHz Turbo Core V2 32-bit Arm based MCU
576kB onboard memory
Zero angle snapping/prediction
1.8m braided USB cable

BTW:
I have Razer Lahesis 4 years (more or less) and had no problems what so ever! My kids use it, it fell of the desk a lot of times,... still works as new!
Maybe Razer has downgraded in quality recently...
Loghitech G400 I use on my laptop last 1.5 years, still as new,...

Good gaming mouse, but not Logitech (and Razer)? Well, depends on many factors, but here you go:
- Zowie EC 1 Evo, Zowie EC 2 Evo, Zowie FK,
- Mionix Naos 5000, Mionix Naos 8200
- Qpad 5k
- Tesoro H2L Shrike
- Roccat Kone-XTD, Roccat Kone-Pure, Roccat Savu

I would advise thinking again about logitech (Logitech g9x, Logitech g500), but it's your choice. Dunno about prices, but I'm sure you will find something suitable. Note: these are mainly gaming mouses.

I've been using Logitech MX518 which is the predecessor of G400 for about 6 years. Still works well.

I have owned 3-4 razer mice and all of them broke down (scrollwheel and right/left mouse button) under a year in heavy MMO usage.

The only mouse that didn't break so far was MX518 from logitech like said above - that one just lost some of its side rubberized thingie over couple years and that annoyed me :P.

Currently using Coolemaster Inferno - it's okay, wouldn't buy it again though as software is buggy and scrollwheel doesn't click very well since the beginning -.-

As linked above the R.A.T 7, its great mouse that has never let me down, its really quite easy to configure and very ergonomic.

Second on the R.A.T 7, its a great one. You can get the 9 series wireless, but the battery doesn't last long, so 7 or 9 series wired.

I had Logitech Gx9 before, which was also a very good one, but the cable cracked after year or so.

Proof?Anyway I think they are not. My best mice were from Steelseries and Logitech. Especially because they are exactly what a gamer needs. No bling bling transform your mouse into a cupwarmer or so. Just a simple, reliable body with a good sensor. Light weight, low reaction times, high max acceleration and speed these are the things you are looking for. not 20k dpi nor a wireless design which just make the mouse heavier.

I have used my ROCCAT KOVA now for about 3 years without any problems at all however I recently acquired a mouse made by EVOLUENT which was faulty (it needs a new cable)

I emailed the manufacturer with the serial number to get it repaired they asked for a photo of the serial number and within an hour they had dispatched one from America for me as a replacement now I have an £80 mouse for free http://www.evoluent.com/ so for customer service alone I would recommend anything made by Evoluent or the other one with great customer service Logitech

I got myself a Perixx MX-2000 off Amazon. You get a lot of bang for your buck.

Off the box.
Laser mouse
11 programmable buttons
150ips & 30G surface tracking speed. Adjustable dpi 500/1000/1500/2000/3000/4000/5000
Adjustable weight cartridges
Braided USB cable.

I have found it really comfortable. The adjustable dpi is really handy. Lowish for WoT and then I turn it right up for fps. Nice weight and feels sturdy in the hand. All of this for £24.99.
