Who has one? What is it? Where did it come from? How do others react to it?

It's a little silly really, you're in a steel tank, no-one can hear some silly battle cry, can they?

Still, if WoT were real tracks would take longer than a few seconds to repair....

A battle cry, IMO, is typed before, or at the very least, just after the start of battle....

I have one..... "Love you...."

Comes from a deep seated need to share the immense amount of love I have.

Many people type 'Homo much?', some 'I love U2', which is strange, coz I never mentioned Bono's band, others have proposed marriage and suggested getting a room somewhere....

In general, it lightens the mood a little, or that's my perception.

Yours?

You forgot the PL ;-)

If I am being serious I will click the map square I am going to and then F7.
If I am being less serious, I may try something like "I defend arty" or "Is this a new map?" - escpecially effective in a high tier vehicle like the E-100

My battle cry usually comes at the end, which is: "sh*t team".

And I don't put an asterisk there  :justwait:

Mine vary depending on (early-game) situation.
People spamming in french (or a french-sounding language): "omlette du fromage!" ----> followed by "omlette?" or "omlette!" depending on what their reactions sound like.
People spamming in spanish (or a spanish-sounding language): "LAVATE LAS MANOS!"
People spamming siema, kto pl or just bogging the chat down with another eastern-european sounding language: "the game."
Lemming train starting: "All aboard!"
Lots of people going to the most useless place with their game-carrying tank: "RELEASE THE POTATOES!"
Top tier platoon of KV-1 or KV-1S on open maps like Redshire: "100k credits says that our top tier platoon climbs the hill and 'snipes'." (I have yet to be proven wrong about this)
Somebody else noticing the open flank and not doing anything about it OR whining about heavies not doing their job: "Welcome to WoT, junior."
Somebody pointing out an open flank or whining about fail heavies 5 minutes after I've already pointed that out at least three times: "What was your first clue?"/"Ya think?"

Oh and, by the way: the game.

I stand corrected and apologise.

Now I think about it, I sometimes see S.A at the start of a battle.  No one I have ever spoken to seems to know what this is, so me and my platoon mates usually start trying to guess in chat what it might be....  "Sexually Active?"  "Socially Awkward"  "Somewhat Annoying"....etc....

I used to do a "Good luck and have fun" but I stopped wishing those reds good luck so it's usually just "Have fun"...

I tried: "For Fun and Victory!!!" for a while.. I may start using that again :)

Isn't S.A. just short for Siemma?

Which b.t.w. ís a good battle cry, really makes me want  to shoot something, or to turn blue...

I typically like to go with the friendly option for instance:

You are all going to DIE, DIE I teill you, DIE
or
I just checked my magic eight ball, bad news boys you are all going to DIE
or
I just checked with God, bad news he hates you all and is going to let me kill you
or
I saw a fortune teller today, bad luck for you apparently I kill you all!

you get the gist I think.......... Normally results in some fun banter from the other team, which is fun, occasionally results in some abuse from my own team, which is even funnier

Well... AFAIK it's the abbreviation of something like ~'salem aleikum' and the proper response is 'aleikum salem' therefore  s.a. and a.s.
Turkish players greeting each other. But they don't seem to care if someone makes fun of it, fortunately.

I'll occasionally use "BANZAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII".  Works for me and seems fit for the general suicide brigades i tend to get teamed up with.  :)
