I'm pretty sure there's an app already on WP7/8? Atleast it's on my Phone. Seeing as a large portion of the original market where Wargaming.net comes from Windows Phone is already the 2nd platform* (Android nr. 1), perhaps not forget about it? Would be nice to have an app for this platform anyway, as it's growing faster worldwide than any other platform, especially in Europe. Seeing as iOS is losing marketshare rather quickly, although it's always been low in Europe, I would even go as far as to suggest to pick Windows Phone over iOS. Maybe the Ipad is still a target market, but in contrary to the USA, in Europe (and Russia) the Android tablets are much more popular.

*WP being the 2nd Smartphone platform in Poland, Argentina, India, Russia, South Africa and the Ukraine for example, up to a total of 11 countries. Seeing as for Wargaming the Russian market is still a HUGE one, maybe not focus on the 3rd platform, and only on the first two? Android and WP7/8?

I get how to some people the iOS devices look more popular than they really are, mostly due to USA media, where iOS is indeed very popular, but Wargaming.net isn't just focused on the USA, right?

It would be nice if you could se if your contacts are online and maybe chat with them from the app.

Right, I use it daily to read the news and see how my stats improved, or went down the drain, after my last play session. These features should be useful in the PC client as well but hey, who would use the mobile app then. However, sometimes it's useless because it updates the stats at 6 in the morning, so when I check the stats at about 16:00 it compares to 6:00 not to the 16:00 from the last day. Since I only get to play between 20:00 and 1:00 AM, you get the point. It should have a method to choose the update with which to compare, not just 24h, 1 week or 2 weeks.
