Greetings fellow tankers,

some of you may have seen this thread in the german section:
http://forum.worldof...__fromsearch__1

I decided to translate it and tell you what exactly it's about.
To put it simple, Firatstyler found a Sturmtiger prop on the new (0.8.7) map.

As for where to find it...

Spoiler

Kudos to Firatstyler for finding this, I wouldn't have found it on my own.

Time to extract That Thing, put it in 3D max And take a closet look AT it.

Edit: it goes under the name ''mle108_Belogorsk_tank'' in the ingame files.

would do nicely in a 2nd German TD line-up along with the Nashorn/Hornisse, the Sturm-Infanteriegeschütz 33B (StuG III variant) and the Sturmpanzer IV "Brummbär". A line that would fit kinda like between the TD's and SPG's...

They simply merged all the assets into one model as it does not need animated parts like turret or gun or tracks.

putting it in game just means separating the parts and animating the gun model

The chassis can use an existing tiger chassis

Is this going to be an arty or a TD?

A german assault gun tree would be easy to do using mostly real life models, the problem lies in relatively scarce historical gun choice.

A possible line would look like this:

VK 302
SIG ausf Pz38t*
StuiG 33b
Brumbarr
SturmPanther
Bar
SturmTiger

What is hard to balance is that tiers V and VI shared the same gun, same for VII and VIII.

Cool, I thought so.  But then, looking at that "easter egg" and the turret, it looked to me that it can be moved in quite a large angle up (like an arty)...

Anyway, good thing it'll be a TD :)

Its not an arty. Its a TD OR a new Assault type vehicle. Think only the reload will be very long..
And the shell costs...
