Armor:
T54>Panther II>Pershing>>>>Lorraine 40t
Speed:
Lorraine 40t>T54>Panther II>Pershing
Firepower:
Lorraine 40t>=Pershing>Panther II>T54

This is just my personal opinion based on the IRL stats for the Lorraine 40t and the ingame stats for the others.  :Smile_honoring:

Poniatowsky G1P looks crazy :D I wonder if it`s tower will bounce a lot.
Btw. Poniatowsky was French engineer, right? Cause we had a lot of famous people named Poniatowski, here, in Poland.

It's possible, I don't own any of them so I can't judge, I just took the dpm of their last gun.  :Smile_honoring:

The Poniatowski who took part in the development of the G1 P is refered as the prince Poniatowski, it could be either Louis Leopold Stanislaw August Maria André Poniatowski or his son Charles (or Carl ?) Casimir Victorien Marie André Poniatowski.
And yep, they are of Polish origin.

Haha those tyres!

Anyway about the tree - I found an old tank book with technical data and history of most tanks between WWI and present day but unfortunately it doesnt have as many WWII french tanks in.

It does have the Renault AMC 35 tank in but i'm confused as to whether this is the medium tank of AMC 35 or the light Renault R35 on the tech tree?

*rechecks book*

Ah never mind i see the R35 on another page however it lists the AMC 35 as a light tank? Anyone care to straighten things up here?

Looks like an interesting tech tree so far though...

Are they some sort of Plan B, allowing the vehicle to manage to move even when it loses a track?
:D

Apparently not, I didn't found any details except that they are puncture-proof Veil-Picard 34*7 paired tires, maybe they gave to the Lorraine a smoother cross-country mobility, or a better top speed, I don't know.

When i think about t7 light tanks i think it will be much more funny on randoms (but they should place more LT and MT in battles, becouse 10x HT + 2MT and 2 TD are so boring...)

Adding rubber to the wheels is a standart procedure to lenghten the track life, so you could change tracks less in time. nothin special
...but thoose really look like normal car tires.

But are those wheels inflated? I mean: do they have their own air chamber? Because, for how wierd it may sound, it seems so.

Is it good really? There's a topic about it in the German med tanks forum, and for what people say of it it's not the greatest piece of steel of steel of its tier :o
I love my Hotchkiss (maybe my favorite tank in game with T28), but i'm affraid the premium S35 won't be as enjoyable. Maybe i should give it a try...

I've decided to use up my gold on a S35 as well, with a 100% crew. It's armour and speed are pretty good, and at short/medium range, the 47mm hurts much of it's usuall opponents (PzIII/IV, A-20, ocasional T-34, basic Sherman, Marder III). The problem is that much of the opposition is made up of upgraded PzIII/IV, not the "stock" versions the S35 terrified in May 1940. The PzIII has an AT 50mm, the PzIV a long 75mm, etc. So, in long range fights, the S35 is at a serious disadvantage. I've only played 4 games, but I've figured out that the best way to play it is to play either from ambush (wait for enemy to come) or follow a pack in the back, leaving the others to do the long range stuff. Did this one with a T-34 in the lead, had great fun  :Smile-playing:

When the tree is released, the S35's longevity will depend on it's upgrades, specifically a bigger gun. I confess I have no idea if any was designed for it; I know the was a bigger turret designed, but no idea on guns.

PS: I carry a few "gold" rounds, to hit thougher opponents.
