And I don't think the devs will take in account the quality of the steel, they didn't with the Germans tanks (unless they just hate the Ger tanks).
Steel=Iron ore and carbon.
RHA steel=Steel and Alloy elements. Aluminium, molybedenum, magnesium, vanadium and so on
The most important one, is molybedenum. This hardens the steel, but also strenghtens it. It doesnt make it very brittle
Germanies only source of this, and others, was located in norway, and it got destroyed in 1943 by allied fighter-bombers. The germans tried to solve this by adding larger amount of carbon and vanadium. This made the steel hard, but also very very VERY brittle. Brittle steel issent strong steel. It is also terrible to weld. And the weldings dont last long
A good example is the PZIV. Its armour was in theory sufficient to withstand the Shermans 75mm gun at 450meters. But the Sherman could in normandy, easily penetrate the 80mm frontal hull armour at ranges up to 700-800 meters.

Narvik was then a key point control of - or destroy.
Sorry for the OT.

This is the problem with mixing WW2 tanks and post-WW2 tanks.
Considering how fast tank warfare evolved during the war, you don't even need to go that far. A normal early 1940 tank was in trouble in early 1941, and obsolete by late 41, early 42...
My favorite comparison, in WoT, is the B2 (captured B1-Bis) vs the PzIV. If the B2 faces a stock PzIV, which is a (basically) April/May 1940 tank, the PzIV is in serious problems. Otoh, if it's a late model PzIV, with the long 75 and extra armour, then it's the B2's turn to be in trouble...

I didnt know that
So basicly german steel WAS much more better. And i thought that all the about german steel quality meant about the welding tecniuque, not the steel itself...
Nice to know anyway.

Not really much better. Better than soviet steel for most of the war yes, but it's not like USSR was famous for its metallurgy! Overall, German tanks had good quality steel from 1942 to early 1944, so that's two years out of six years of war. But that's enough to build a legend apparently

Hull:
Front - 40mm/58°
Sides - 30mm/30°
Rear - 25mm/30°
Floor - 20mm
Top - 20mm
Turret:
Front - 45mm/55°
Sides/Rear - 30mm
Top - 20mm
Basically, avoid to be hit.
But it will have an Hp/weight ratio of at least 21.25 (better than any T9 Medium), too fast too furious in a cardboard soapbox.

If they keep these values, they're going to be penetrated by every arty shells. One shot and you're dead. They'd better be as fast as T2 light if they want to survive.

They have no armor you could say. Faster then T54 by 6kmph... Tier9... Was looking forward to French tanks, but if they have these stats, they will be just free kills.

I dont know much about french tanks but this is what i expect: correct me if im wrong
they will be small and rather bad armored, but they should have precise high rof high penetration guns? So their dps should be like us tanks or better?
What about gun depression? I'm guessing something in between american and german depression?
What about shell travel time? If i read correctly the french had a thing for high velocity guns, is it realistic to expect fastest shells in the game?
All in all, if im somewhat correct i think i will like french tanks a lot
the sooner they come the better

I have an answer for one of your questions. According to this article, click me, the initial speed of projectile will hit 1000m/s. And I am talking about 90mm cannon used by T8 medium.

Earlier tier will be slower and better armored, with small caliber high velocity guns and howitzers.
Then the post-war tanks with tanks inspired by German design and the fast glasscannons with very, very high velocity guns.
