Just adding my 2 cents to the rant.

The Leopard is horrible to play because you lack the speed and mobility to flank (at least I can't make it work). Turning the thing is a nightmare, making retreat a matter of sheer luck. The guns are horrible; I play it with the 5 cm KwK which lacks pen, because spending 3150 exp on the M.K. 103 seems ridiculous to obtain a gun with 30 damage...

I'm only going to grind this thing to open the VK 28.01 so it's done in case I ever want to play that tank.

This is the problem with all higher tier german light tanks(5-7, dont remember if luch had terrible turn rate). They just cant turn fast enough. And with new high tier tanks that have awesome traverse (for example frech heavies and td's) means german scouts are useless. Remember guns are also underpowered now for all german lights(before 105 nerf, both VK and afk panther did ok) except Luch, which have awesome gun for its tier. Luch is prolly only german light tank, that is still unnerfed, gotta buy it again.

I see you have no idea what you're talking about. MK 103 has 360 effective alpha...
It's a machine gun with 4 bursts of 3 rounds. And 95 pen? You can make swiss cheese out of sides of a KT with it.
If it wasn't for its bad accuracy and reload time, it would be an OP gun.

thank the gods it was improved, cause its crapnow. my only guess that before it was so bad there was a real chance of some sort or chain reaction happening that would destroy the universe. something like a neutron star only not composed of neutrons but of crap, tightly packed crap, that is the leopard.

Don't get me wrong the Leo is still an awesome tank and it's mobility is more than enough for a scout (although it could use a 5km/h buff). The 3cm gun is a nasty surprise even for tanks 2 tiers higher and with a good crew and the right equipment you can be a game changer in it. Especially on open maps where everyone's hiding behind a bush.

But it's new size makes it way harder to hide behind small objects or to dodge shots in the open.

it s one of my passive scouts and blitz (well..blitz for the leopard :)  ) attack to finish off enemies ( then hiding for reloading..)

No it isn't. Don't get me wrong, I really like it, but it is not a good tank.

It is, with quite some distance, the worst Tier 5 light tank in the game.
It has
- worst winrate
- worst winrate / player winrate rate
- second worst xp / minute
- worst accuracy
- worst damage dealt
- second worst damage assisted via radio
- worst damage assisted via tracking
- worst penetration rate
- worst kills / battle
- worst average WN7
- second worst number of spots

Only things where it is half-good is
- second best in net credits per minute (probably due to being the fastest to die)
- second best bouncer (bouncing 8% of the shots fired at it)

If this tank is awesome, all other lights of it's tier are even more awesome.

Reload is just too long! Not to mention that in most cases you just wont deal damage will all shells!

10.5cm T5 Derp has a reload of around 8 sec.I7,5sec with 100% crew and rammer).

Reload around 9 sec would still be fine!

If this tank is awesome, all other lights of it's tier are even more awesome.
Just because most people can't get it to work doesn't mean it's the worst light in it's tier. It's playstyle differs a lot from other scouts and it's advantages aren't as obvious. It's a great counterscout for example. None of the other scouts can handle the combination of my 22 tons crashing into them and the 360 burst damage coming out of my "puny" gun.
I had my fair share of bad games in it and there are other scouts i'm doing way better in, but the Leo has worked for me through numerous patches. It never left my garage and i always found time to take it out for a spin. That's my definiton of an awesome tank. One that does me make driving it.
Does it need a buff to compete? It certainly wouldn't hurt. But it's far from being a bad tank. If we were talking about the VK28.01 i would be inclined to agree. Once an OP monster and now a limping hunchback...
