Some of those arachnids look big enough to eat Orcs and Hobbits.

You may want to put an arachnophobia warning on the first post.   :teethhappy:

Two of your snakes share the same names as my rats. Artemis and Athena.
I like snakes and spiders as every animal has it's own personality. With looks i believe any animal is cute in the eyes of the right person.

I like picking names from Greek mythology. They're great names. And you're right. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And sometimes in the eye of the beer holder.

The dog, snakes, and lizard are cute, cute/gorgeous, and super cute. The spiders on the other hand... I have a healthy respect (read; terrified of) for spiders (although I never kill the small harmless ones that invade my apartment from time to time, I even protect them from being eaten by my cats), especially these big fellas, but I must admit that the New Guinea rust, Mexican red knee, and the Gooty ornamental were all very beautiful and cool. Snakes, I love in general and I don't understand why many people find them creepy. Athena and Bia are really beautiful snakes both of them. :)

Snakes just like spiders are very misunderstood animals. Humans are scared of the unknown.

And cheers.

Hello basin.
Nice Pics, the Spider Pics are my Favorits.
I dont like Spiders, ( i prefers Lizards,  but my job let me no time for them, so i just have a cat  ) but i find the Pics very great!
But let me ask a question: Why you have so many Spiders? A Dog and Snakes/Lizards are ok ( as they lay arround the hole day and eat every 2 weeks, so not very "interessting" ) but 9 Spiders?  One Spider scares the shit out of me, but 9 such "Monsters", i couldent sleep ;)

I love spiders. It's true that some of mine are basically pet holes but others I see a lot. They fascinate me.

She isn't as venomous as the Sydney funnel web but would put me in hospital for a few days if she ever managed to bite me.

Like you I like names from Greek mythology, I have 7 cats/kittens.

1. Achilles half persian tom (actually he's the biggest coward I have lol)
2. Hector - Grey and a huge kitten and at 9 months the biggest killer of birds, mice, butterflys or anything that moves
3. Hera - My Ginger princess
4. Pagan - My fluffy multi coloured persian bowling ball shaped cat - Obviously I'm named for her lol
5. Katnis - another resuced totoise shell, from the film The Hunger Games
6. Badger - a black & white kitten with no sense of humour, unless she's waking you up at 4am for breakfast
7. Miss Hiss - a three legged resuce totoise shell, Miss Hiss is named for her temper but is calming down slowly
BTW lovely photo's of your pets, very pretty and intresting

Previous life (or I should say marriage lol) I had large house in country with approx 12 dogs, life was frantically busy but the dogs were fun.

Now I have a quieter and much more relaxed, serene life with 7 cats and the occasional rescued seagull or bird.  We have a hedgehog that lives at the bottom of the garden and he/she fascinates the cats and he/she enjoys the cat food lol, so its a win win situation.

Would like to have at leats one dog again at some point but think I will find it difficult to bring a puppy into the house and for my cats not to make its life hell lol

7 cats vs 1 pup. They'd terrorise the poor sod. Although it'd have a bucket load of fun with them all and they'd keep it entertained.

I have 2 cats that are twice the size of normal moggies, I am afraid they would eat him and my three legged cat, is a nasty cow at the best of times, what she would do to a puppy who couldnt keep his cold nose out of her bum, I do not know - But its almost fun to think of it rofl

19 lurchers. They'd need some feeding.

Cats are just great. So independent. Happy one minute and insane the next.
