If it isn't about arty, the mm, scouts etc.. it's now about TDs or why can't I buy an m60?

If you are tired of all of this whining may I propose a simple solution: report the thread as un constructive.  Let's do something about the whining.

Whiners. Seriously, if u don't like an aspect of the game, either learn to play or uninstall.

Thank you for reading

PPG

ps. I am on my last warning point so I doubt I will get a chance to post again after this but it had to be said. So long and thanks for the good times. :)

Or even better. Take a deep breath and write something constructive.

A game needs criticism. But most of the threads are only criticsm in the author's eyes and a sad little whine for all the rest.

Try to write objectively, and please, always first wonder if you aren't the problem rather than the game.

It's easier and more effective to ignore the whiny thread.  Apart from anything, some threads I might think are whiny, you will think are 110% bang on constructive criticism.  Plus, no same MOD is going to get involved in  which threads are valued feedback and which are unconstructive.

Personally, I'd up the minimum battle limit to 51.
Then 52.
Then 53.
Etc

comeone dude you cant be serious
critisicm is ALWAYS subjective

writing something objectivly is nearly impossible for most subject matter

and who is to say that an outburst of anger is not the right solution to show your displeasure and offence at certain issues
histories most impactful changes to our society are not done by playtesting them and having debates about it

actually the most foolproof way to get something changed is mass spamming of said opinion
it works in politics (letters to senators and the like ... oh wow ACTA is bad suddenly -.- )
it worls here
arty got changed not because people did constructive critisicm it was changed because there were 100 whine threads about it

It's always possible to try though.   Most don't bother.  And the reason why?

Objectivity is difficult & boring, and ranting is easy & fun.

Remember:
One whine thread a day / keeps the dev away

no i dont believe so
there is a difference with objectivity and proof

i can write in constructive manner and show proof without being objective ... its equally dull as you put it
but it has the benefit of being true OR at least and that is the important part .. it makes the reader think it is the truth
but truth and objectivity could not be farther apart

but to make my point a bit clearer
not YOU have to think the text is objective but the reader has to which by defintion makes it decidedly subjective

i am still convinced and did say so in "apperantly" subjective posts with no rage and whine why arty is not overpowered
and even if i had a letter saying so signed by victor and god themselves nobody on this forum would find my post objective
because to them it does not matter what statistics say because they have a subjective opinion already made up

PS;
i agree tough that rage posts are easier to write .. but imo good rage posts are hard ;)

Well u call ppl that complain about parts of the game that they think are unbalanced whiners. But if we didn't how would the devs know what ppl like and don't like about games?

There's a huge difference between reporting a problem and a crude whine post

Wrong!
Less than 1% of players visit forums(or is it maybe 0,01%) and not even half of them were arty haters.
So why do you think that opinion of 1/2 of 0,01% of active players changed anything?

You are right that no matter how objective you try to be, there will always be someone out there who thinks you are being subjective, 100% agree with you.
But, if you have made a real effort to understand and explain the opposing viewpoint, and not just throw out a few facts, you have been objective whether your reader thinks so or not.  Ultimately objectivity lies with the author's intent, not the readers.

Moved to off-topic. This is hardly a material for General Discussion.
You may feel free to further explore forum behavioral patterns.

What do you need to know if you plan on actively reporting inappropriate content:

How can I report the forum rule violation?
Spoiler

Please keep in mind the forum rules while doing so.

Real universal objectiveness goes beyond the human brain, you can only feel it. We are talking about the perspective of all perspectives together. We don't want to experience the same thing within this game altough we play all the same game.

Hi Hunter,

Firstly, thanks for not banning me. Secondly, the majority of the whining is in the general discussion forum so I felt it was in context.

With 1800+ posts here I would of thought you'd get use to it all.....
80% are kids & 20% of whines are WG changes to their GOD like play style.

All in all, forget them take the medication (2 beers before reading forums once daily) and move on to a good thread where an OP has something real to say.

It's just another game....

I can take only 10% of whinner threads, neg rep them from orbit to be sure.......

lolz

I dont agree with everything Private_Miros says, however I am 100% in agreement with him on this one. Unfortunately I don't have any more Pos reps available today, otherwise I'd +1 for this. I can't understand why anybody would neg rep his comment because it certainly makes a whole lot of sense. For want of getting neg repped myself, some people using these forums are seriously small minded and neg rep for no apparent reason.

If you want to whine do so in a way that makes sense and most importantly make it interesting, don't say something is shit because you don't like it. Explain why something is shit, try not to make it personal (be factual) and if you can't, then maybe it is something you are doing wrong.

Because every day a new thread would be at the top of the list complaining about arty being OP and how the poster was 1 shotted for the 215th time that day and it was ridiculous. Blah Bla Blah.

I have no doubt that everyone who came on these forums prior to the 8.6 patch can confirm that.

As you say, a minimal amount of people even come on here and since I cant agree or disagree with that point, all I can say is the noise made by the anti arty brigade was OP beyond belief.
