The enemys shot from 200 meters and stealthed?WTF this WG???

Its spotting and camouflage values. Working as intended i would say. That and working properly too. but think about it

If he's behind a bush, at 200M and you have no spotter, how would you see him?

Just because you can't see them does not mean, that they can't see you...

As the WoT developers can't simulate ranges up to 1km and less and the numbers and types of battles tanks usually engaged in, they have to improvise. In comes the spotting system. Basically you have your camouflage values that get affected by the tank given default value, bushes and other obstacles, speed of travel, if you hit something, if you fire, your equipment and crew skill and possibly other stats that I missed.

For spotting these camouflage tanks your tank constantly, for a lack of better word rolls a dice, to see if it detects something. These values are governed by your tanks view range, crew skill and abilities, equipment and that should be the majority of how it operates.

Now comes in a lot of behind the stage operating and mathematics of calculating what value beats what and if you are detected. Kind of like a RPG game.

Another system called radio range allows your tank to communicate with other tanks and give you map and also on screen vision of enemy tanks, If your view range allows it on screen you can see the tank and fire at it. This system granted works also for the enemy so if the calculations work for him he can shoot you without you being able to see where the shots are coming from.

It might not be realistic but it kind of simulates the cover system and ability to camouflage tanks in real life and often you didn't know where you were fired from.

Also the system was pretty bad a long long time ago. Basically the checks did happen only each second or half a second and what you got was this choppy motion of detection also tanks disappeared quite fast and even right in front of you. This allowed the server to work under less load and meant that camouflage was even more important than it is now arguably. Light tanks enjoyed that time as it was mighty impossible to track them with your sight and hit them, as you basically "lagged" on screen for them.

So in conclusion this is a pretty good system they managed to create and more so knowing where it came from.

when you back away from a large bush that you look trough - back until it's solid = than when fireing - you should stay hidden.
