Players will soon have the chance to buy a premium account which will be effective across all projects from Wargaming.

so does this mean that WG will finally allow us (in a costly way) to cross servers, thereby eliminating the dilemma of awesome tanks getting stuck on one server, and offering an albeit selfish form of salvation to the WoT community?

It's mainly an incentive to get people to play all "World of's". If you get a prem account on WoT, but don't like WoWP (or in the future, WoWS), the unified account means that players will get an incentive to play the others, because "hey, I got premium account in *world of X* too, better go play it!"

Without the unified account, most players will play just one game, with one premium, rather than try all of them. Unified account helps WG to massively grow their playerbase on all their games.

It's advertisement, designed to get more people try the game.
It's all desperate. I mean come on. Someone pays someone to go in television to scream "Hey! Buy our stuff!"
About the prem. I like it. It's one of the cases where everyone benefits. We get more gameplay for our money and WG gets more people to try the different games it has.

"Search results for portuguese007: no matches found." (That means portuguese has not touched WoWP since the start of Open Beta. So his opinion is either based on no info or from some ancient closed beta/alpha build)
I think this is part of the reason why they are pushing the ads here. So many players who have not even tried WoWP are going "omg wowp suxxx WT betar!". Based on what?
And better in everything? The arcade mode in WT is totally unrealistic compared to WoWP. All planes are agile UFO fighters with magic engines which makes the gameplay extremely boring as there is no real variety on the planes. It's just die -> respawn and immediately pewpew another one. Totally mindless clickfest. And on the other hand Historical battles last 50 minutes or so each and are filled with just 1 or 2 currently OP plane types.
And cheaper? Just read the feedback on WT forums for their latest patch. The players are comparing WT to WoT and using WoT as the example of a better done payment system. WT is practically unplayable without real money invested in.

Yeah, and right before that the dude says how they respect their customers... let me tell you a story.
I played the british mission a month ago and got the 45 victories but one of them was in CW so they did not give me the 500 gold.
Back then they didn't use to say that only random's apply so it shouldn't have mattered.
When I contacted support to ask them what happened they were replying once every 2 days.
In the end it was me that suggested it might be because of the CW win and they just confirmed and sent me away without compensating me even though it's the moron from comunity that forgot to mention CW battles do not count.

SerB (you know WG EU, that funny guy in minsk, your boss) on various player-made “votes” and “surveys” about game matters: “We will be guided by player surveys only if democracy is brought to Wargaming by American bombers, or if the players buy 51 percent of WG shares”

In this case, anybody knows how we can convince the US that Wargaming has chemical weapons? Better yet convince them they have lots of oil, they'll invent the chemical weapons themselves :D

My opinion is as premium accont will be only one for all WG games for same money as WoT, becasue you cant play three games in one moment...only make some system feature when you can be logged in only on one place.

Keep it once, no one in their right minds would play WoA when there is War Thunder around which is miles and miles better and CHEAPER when it comes to prem Planes lol. I just hope that WG have sunk a load of cash in the WoA incomming flop.

I wonder why it is that most of the WT fans have not even tried yet they have really strong opinion about the game?

(I am at Tier 11 or so in WT so I have some experience about it, that's why I don't generally shy on stating my opinion of that game).
