if i can believe the mighty jingles, he praises warthunder, but swears that woa is absolute garbage. he did however, also said that he did this in the beta phase.
with woap being a few patches further (i believe jingles did it in 4.1 if i recall right) did they fix some of its issue's? if i look at the video's of player footage, it seems like the mouse is slow to respond to what you actually want, and that it has a problem that when you disconnected your joystick and restarted the game, it still shows you have a joystick, with the inability to change it.
i would like to test woap myself, but if everyone is already saying its bad, who am i to put time in it?
Moving to offtopic.

Still War Thunder is superior in nearly every aspect!

Why do you want to discuss this in the WoT forum?
At least go to "Off Topic", but not in General Discussion, please.

WT is far superior product atm.

And I dislike health bar / strong tiering (huge HP inflation and all stuff) that is going on in WoWP.

atm and probably for a very long period of time, warthunder is and will probably stay a far superior product...
but i have no idea how they want to handle tanks, airplanes and ships on the same map (technical side no problem but how to balance air vs. ground or marine  vs. air ect.?)
None or less it is good to have war thunder because competition is good for the market and both companies will start to fight for customers.

Well, I can only agree that for me personally, War Thunder is the clear winner of the two.

It's got:
-Better graphics
-Cockpit view
-TrackIR support
-More realistic damage
-Far less arcady feel
-More interesting flight dynamics
-Prettier maps

And the list goes on and on.

I dont like both games, but WT is better. I really am curious how WT will bring planes tanks and ships on the same level though.

War Thunder is more of a simulator and WOWp is more on the arcade side.....so it depends on what you prefer.

neither, they both lack tanks thus they both suck

WT is superior, but the main reason is because it uses the same engine used to make the Il-2 Sturmovik Games, a series of good military flight sims. WoWP has the same engine as WoT, and thus a map the perfect size for tanks is far too-small for aircraft...

The main reason WT is better IMO is because it has better controls, they fell logical and you don't need to adjust anything to get them right, they're just good

on WoWP the controls have always been weird...

if you look at WoT maps you can see they look stunning, specially the new reworked maps, i'm sure that over time WoWP could bring maps like that too so it would compete with WT

the healthbar in WoWP is also quite strange, it makes sense for tanks, but since WoWP is about planes and generally most aircraft games are more of a simulator type the concept makes the game feel very arcade

although i have played heroes of the pacific on my ps2 and it also had a heatlh bar and as I recall that game for it's time was excellent, so maybe WoWP will be similar, but as it is now...yea WT is much better

warthunder has very ugly menu, but battle is better, and better runs on weak computers. in wowp garage and menus are pretty and clear, but i get many fps drops and changing target is uncomfortable.

It is certainly worth trying now with unified account, but from what I have seen WT is simply superior, much to the fact that the basic idea of a more historical and realistic flight simulator but yet with a lot of well balanced arcade elements.

Something I would actually like to see in WoT...

I have not tried WT yet but have sporadically played WoWP since closed beta.

I have not tried wowp with a mouse , when I see a real combat aircraft flown by mouse with no stick , then I might try.

In beta joystick control was bad as it was linear , in a real aircraft as your controls approach neutral the effect of the stick becomes less so finer control is possible.

Now wg has introduced the ability to customise the joystick control it is far better and much easier to hold your aim on target. The game has improved enormously.

The problem I have is that Wowp movement is far more involved then wot ( 3d compared to 2d) and `platoons` on voice is a far greater force multiplier then in wot.

If you have a `platoon` on voice comms and utilise the tactics I developed in Jumpgate  of " tag n bag" it will totally dominate.

In fact I think whichever side has the most people on voice comms will have an advantage, The disadvantages of having public comms and the entire team on one voice channel are obvious.

I really see that solo players will have a hard time in WoWP and will not play for long.

"tag n bag"  = flight commander picks a target , whole `platoon` engages and shoots the named target , if you get attacked you disengage and go evasive until you stop receiving fire , then you re-engage the named target.

The advantage of World of Warplanes is that in the betatest you can earn gold to buy premium which also makes your world of tanks account premium... I have tried one mission in both games and am fully back to playing tanks and making fun of clan mates on team speak who are flying planes ;)

i see. so, exept for a few, i think everyone here tried world of warplanes and warthunder, and the majority seems to go for warthunder if they had to choose. still, wowp cant be that bad. atleast the trailers are fun to watch! also, the reason i post it here, is for the fear that everyone on the WOWP forum will choose wowp over warthunder. on a forum about tanks, you might hear a more neutral opinion about planes.

Wargaming is good in making trailers, but the game looks completely different from them

hitpoints work perfectly in world of tanks style of gameplay, however it just doesnt work in world of roflplanes.
