Would we ever get the 3.7 inch howitzer on the tier 4 convie?just wanted a weapon that could pack more of punch preferably the convie would the become a Sherman with less armour more speed and great firepower enough to take out hetzers and stugs and funny tds who are not scared of the 2pdr so I want the howizter just to see the panic of tds who see us Brits as a free kill

I would still use the Bofors.  The perfect gun for this tank.

I found that tank a terribly hard grind. I don't think I had one good battle in it, any gun that would give it more of a punch would be great in my book!

There was a Covenanter that was a test bed for developing the 290mm Spigot mortar, as used on the Churchill AVRE.

Omg imagine a little Covie raping a bunker!

I use the Covenanter with the 2pdr, some APCR and it works just fine, the tank has some weaknesses and some better points but nothing particular, the 3,7inch might be a bit heavy for it and the RoF would be a pain with that turret size.

Not usually fond of autocannon but yes the Bofors is a really nice gun and gives the Covenanter decent firepower for its tier.

You are not using it correctly. Armed with its Bofors auto cannon, this tank can be lethal to unsuspecting opponents. Load a few APCR (101mm penetration), and you can do serious damage to enemy mediums and lights. Fight on your terms, peeking out of cover and using the fantastic gun depression. In this tank you are not a scout, you are the harassing bully. Support your heavies, don't try to go head to head, you don't have the armour. While your heavies are going head to head, flank the enemy, track them, attack their sides, rear, weak spots, then be gone, back behind cover to reload and relocate.

There are so many many badly driven Covenanters in the game, that they are never seen as a threat. I've just been ignored by a T-28, and  a T-25, both of whom forgot that for every shot they fire at me, I put 4 into them. Its all about DPM. Once they were dispatched, it was onto Arty goodness, and two more easy kills. Pity I forgot about the third arty who blew me to bits.

But if you prefer to charge at the enemy, and get blasted to bits, feel free, it's your choice.

New to the Covenanter, but finding the 2pdr rate of fire good enough. Tend to stay passive scout until somebody engages the target and then join in. As long as you can target a soft spot,  you can put out some decent damage.

Couldn't handle the inaccuracy of the Bodies. What's the point of a 2 round clip if the second shot misses?
