75mm Vickers HV of course. Best damage, penetration and accuracy. For the equipment I go with Vents, Gun Rammer and Coated Optics.

Cromie is the best tank on t6 by itself but it aims kinda slow so I'd take a gun laying drive, rammer and vent.

The tank has some sniper potential, I would go with the pen gun, camo, binocs and rammer.

There's only one gun to use on the Cromwell: 75 mm Vickers HV.
For equipment, I believe the optimal would be Vents, Rammer and EGLD for a more stationary playstyle and Vents, Rammer Enhanced Suspension if you drive it like a maniac (like me). Seriously, just a small bump in the road can send you flying and detrack you in the middle of nowhere.

The Cromwell is for sure one of the best Tier6 mediums!

-Use rammer,vents and EGLD.

-Use the 75 mm HV

-Circle,flank,snipe. It's a wonderful tank.

Given that you have not played many British tanks and you comments appear to be designed to be inflammatory, your terse argument holds no water.

On topic, the Cromwell is indeed a good tank go with the 75mm HV as stated and use it as an agile sniper and light tank hunter.

I go with bino + camo + vent for scouting & sniping other tactics might need different equipment but with >15shots/min i dont see the need for an rammer.

yeah, thats why the medium companies are full with cromwells...  :harp:   Its an ok tank, fast agile + nice sniper gun vs. almost no armor & low alpha... you will need a good team to shine, if you are top tier and the enemy team consists of KV1s & VK36 you will have a very hard time.
I bet i get negrepped by the cromi lovers, but to be honest. Actual i prefer my slower VK36 way more.

Most medium companies are indeed full with KV-1S, doesn't have to mean the tank itself is good or the players driving them are....

Also I suspect that the OP plays mostly Randoms like the majority of people, for which the Cromwell is very versatile. Plus the original quote was "one of the best tier 6 mediums" which IMO cannot be disputed.

The Cromwell might not have the firepower edge over the VK lines, but it's superior agility allows it to adapt very quickly and move to different points of the map, very much like the Hellcat. the VK series are good tanks ( for now ), but they are very rigid, almost cumbersome.

I'd pick a cromwell over a VK-series tank anyway at tier 6. :)

75mm is a no-brainer

As for equipment...I like to start rounds getting spots and doing a little sniping before moving in for CQB when the battle thins out a little. For this playstyle, Vents, Rammer & Bino's

Easily the 75mm HV. Great gun for the tier, suits the Cromwell's playstyle very well.

As for equipment, depends on how you play it. My 5 cents, the aimtime of the gun is decent enough for it not to require EGLD. Vents rammer and binos are good if you like getting into sniper positions and feel like doing some passive scouting. You can replace binos with optics if you play more aggressively or even mount a net in place of the vents if you're REALLY into the sniping/passive scouting business or if your crew is not camo trained. Your choice really but the combination of agility and pretty decent firepower makes the cromwell a great medium.

I'm often dubious about using the EGLD with very mobile tanks since you have to be stationary for it to take effect. As such it couples well with binocs but I personally feel that a Cromwell kitted out to passive scout is a wasted Cromwell.

Exactly. Also don't be afraid to play the angry mosquito in tier 8 games. It can do serious damage against any tank if you use your speed to constantly relocate. Managed 2 Levhäslaikos Medals in the last 2 weeks alone with this great tank.
