So, I was just looking through the wiki, and I happened upon this gem in the Game Modes section:

"VIP Escort:
Only a few tanks from the team have the ability to capture enemy's base, the opposite team has to defend the base or destroy all the invaders.

Status: no longer in development after tests showed random players lacked the required ability to team-play."

I found it both hilarious and scarily accurate in terms of describing the player-base!

Players don't know the meaning of TEAMPLAY some don't look at the minimap others camp etc.

The main problem with WoT is the playerbase. If they would just learn to play as a team WoT would be a less annoying game and more satisfying after every victory.Even defeats wouldnt be that annoying if you did work together as a team and lost to a team that was more skilled than you.And not because your team was a group of brainless people who dont even listen to what you say.

The lack of team-play in random battles is a common problem in wot...

However I think that this game mode can be interesting, and it should have been put into game but it should have been not random battles where it was accessible. You should have been able to play this mode only by selecting it under the battle button, and then playing only this mode.

But still it is ridiculous that random players for example can't realize that if only one or two enemy tanks are remaining on a flank, they should be rushed, and if someone does it (me) they are just sitting... Only not if we had fewer/much worse tanks left....

Edit: the problem is not always not doing what they are told to do. The problem is that, for a question like: "How can i take a shot while not receiving one?" their usual solution for this is something like: "Hmm that tank is poking its turret out to take a shot, if i don't let him get back into cover, after it is destroyed it will prove a sufficient cover"

You know, this could be sorted out pretty easily.
They could implement this mode in the game, but put it disabled as a default. Players would have to manually enable it, thus proving us that they have the basic skills such as: breathing, walking, clicking on a square box, PERHAPS even play as a part of the team.

I'm afraid that they many players might just turn it on to "enjoy this mode as well" and then getting themselves blown up in the first minute being one who was able to cap...
But unfortunately there is no noobsafe way so the best is having a way to minimize the number of noobs playing this mode

I wasn't asking for an explanation, I was laughing at the fact that they had to cancel a whole game mode because people were too failtarded to work as a team.

It does indeed say something when the developer of the game goes "You guys are just so hopeless we're not even going to bother".

If you have played this game for more than two matches it should be quite obvious that most of the players are unaware that things like minimap even exist.

Then 90% of the mindless pleb that the WoT community exist of wouldnt even notice or understand what it means. " o hey unchecked box! Must be bad, i want it on! "

Won't argue that it is true. But who's to blame for having such a poorly trained, experienced, skilled or whatever you want to call it player base? Who's to blame for creating a game that anyone can start playing the moment after they completed the installation. Who created a game where so many mechanics are counter intuitive/illogical and require doing some research through the forum/wiki and other player created websites, because the developer does not share all that much information and keeps most calculations hidden?

Who added a new mechanic where you can now just hold the mouse button and you will fire the moment you are reloaded, on top of an auto-aim feature? I mean seriously, what's next? Right click and auto-aim + auto-fire when reloaded?

Yes, a lot of players are bad/horrible/clueless/useless/annoying but for the most part Wargaming is to blame.

there is a lack of logical thinking in this game, it is not only that ppl cant play with teams

i doubt that even 10% of the players would get 120 or more in a logical thinking test(iq test) which is really sad :(

Random people trying to help each other without any real communication is not team-play.
