The massive RoF increase makes the 76mm finally usefull, and I find it to be my gun of choice so far.

Well, it is fun to play because it feels agile and you can shoot fast.

But it is difficult to win a game with it. With about 40 games I have 46% win rate, but ~1800 WN7, ~1050 average damage and 2,12 avg kills per game. (although I have to admit the bonus weeked was horrible with 11 losses in a row, on one I got 3150 XP...). With all other of my tanks I played in the last year I am above 60% and in some cases even 70% win rate.

The issue is: no alpha and no armour. So you totally depend on your team to make an opening and keep the enemy occupied. A43 needs 7 shots to kill a KV1S (if all penetrate which is far from being the case), while KV1S needs only 2.

Plus profitability sucks as you have to shoot gold a lot to penetrate. Especially when you get into tier 8 battles and you can't flank. The shells are outragely expensive for the small damage you do.

Its the usual problem with this line, its a support tank line, you can't expect to carry a team with it like its possible with other tanks on the same tier.

If you have potato tier heavy tanks on your side you lost the game, even when you pull of some good damage rates.

try the 57mm, much better accuracy and higher dpm. a KV-1S that doesn't get the first shot off at you won't have a second one. if you are going at a KV-1S heads up though, you are doing it wrong anyhow.

IMO the 57mm doesn't cut it, especially against Tier 7 & 8s, which this tanks sees A LOT.

The 76mm is the way to go, at least for me.

@MM - the last two days the loss streak hit me with many games losing due to myself being noobish and a lot more by teammates who seem to have deactivated their minimap and drive in the first person mode.

@A43 - I am not convinced this thing should be on tier 6... its more a tier 34 with less good matchmaking and no punch, armor, speed or whatsoever. Its agile and fast but not more than a 34 85, a cromwell, a 3001 h/p... the guns are good for tier 5 and not for a tier 6 medium. Some players do well in this tank and I had some good matches but not many and I think the good results for the players are because they are good players. This tank isnt well and also the accuracy on the move doesnt make it better. Its looking like the old 50-2 with more hp but less speed.

As summary not a good or fun addition to the tech tree... no innovation and its not fun to drive a scout tank without its bonuses. Am glad when I am through and will not keep it.

Greets

That's horse-poo. It's almost double as mobile as T-34-85

This tank, just like the VK3002M, needs its MM to be fixed, as it gets thrown A LOT into Tier 8 battles, where your 100% camo crew + Optics won't save you or your team (you're fast enough to get into positions and be a scout, but one wrong move and you're dead, its HP pool doesn't allow any mistakes AND you definitely can't save the Tier 8 idiots on your team)

If you ask me this tank is just utter crap and just another excuse from WG to try to get people to free xp past it. It has absolutly nothing going for it except its mobility. For me this one is the worst grind in WOT I had sofar.

I absolutely love this tank, forget the support roles etc...just play it like a scout, 1vs1 you can circle even some meds to death.

Awesome little death machine.

The only thing why someone would dislike this tank is because he is either a bad player, an stat padder or both...

Loved this tank. Not so keen on the A44, but we'll see...

About 15k away from eliting this. Yesterday, I trolled all over a T-34-85, A-43, something I'm forgetting because my teammates shot it and Tiger P. Like, at nearly the same time. Just by circling and auto-aim shooting. It was craaaaazyyyy @_@

Fun tank, but not gonna miss it as I'm not that great of a brawler usually. I have reflex issues so I usually try to play more cautious and defensive. Looking forward to A-44, since I already have the ZiS-6 from KV-2 =3

IMO the A-43 has been surprisingly nice tank to drive. Really fast and agile, which I like a lot. The gun (76mm is way better) is adequate, has nice rof and accurate enough shooting on the move for tier 6 tank. Penetration is sufficient and you can always shoot some premium shells when it's necessary. Only thing I miss is some gun depression. With better depression this tank would be great.

The armor is nothing special, naturally, but then again mobility > armor.

for me the best thing about this tank is the 1.94 second reload time, that is just ridiculously good

Very poor tank, even with 57mm ZIS-4. For masochists only....

My very last battle with A-43 (Ace Tanker + Confederate): http://wotreplays.com/site/522959#westfield-glock17-a-43

And I am not "bad player, an stat padder or both..." (Supakadai, on 31 December 2013 - 03:28 AM)

(58% WR in 77 battles)

I have nearly  elited this tank. I have enjoyed the mobility of this tank. It can get anywhere fast and never seems to detrack it's self on rough ground like the some fast tanks.

The gun choice is meh. I use the S-54 because you are usually close to the target when you fire. The higher damage is more important. I would like to see a better gun on this tank, but the soviets don't seem to make one that will fit. It could be possible to fit the 107mm gun in the second turret, but rof of that gun does not lend it self to medium tank playstyle.

I have never used gold ammo and a regularly make a profit on this tank. The repair costs on this tank are not bad for a tier 6 tank.

The tanks playstyle is a mix of scout and flanker. Any other playstyle just wont work. The tank is enjoyable to play.

Meh tank. Could be better, could be worse. The gun depression is always trolling me, but the commanders hatch?(turret) is rather bounce when facing 100-150mm pen guns.
