I hate this tank a very, very, very, very much and when i encounter it i want to pull my hair and scream.
Its the most overpowered vehicle in the game ever and it does too much damage.
This is my first whine/rant topic, i've been stewing about this for like a week and it feels good to vent out :)
So whats your opinion?

its not much worse than the ISU-152 - your problem is not with the tank but with the gun i guess

Imagine this tank & the mobility of a A-20 & you got the T-54, yay!

I have one and it's not very tough. The Jt has more staying power and can deal almost the same amount of punishment. And the gun can be pretty FAIL at times.

What I hate is the t54. I get some weird, almost sadistic satisfaction when I kill them

When you're in a Maus or VK45, the danerous end is all you'll ever see.

It is just another OP tank on the russian side which the devs will suffer from because it will keep the people from actually paying money for this game just to be prey for russian tanks. It is actually very sad, that this game is developed by russian devs who are so obviously biased. If it was developed by e.g. a german company the nations would match. But this doesnt mean I would dislike russian plz dont get me wrong.

It's only OP when you can't see it.

If you see it it's killable just like any other.
If I managed it with my T34-85 (with 85 mil gun) while driving around at 1% hp then it's not OP.

That being said large vehicles with large guns should become visible after firing. It's not like people can miss half a bush getting blown up when something fires from behind it.

It's the spotting they need to fix.

it's the best TD that's currently out there, but that does not make it OP in the first place.
IF TDs are supposed to play any significant role in this game, they need to have a brutal alpha to cope with all their disadvantages.

not really had much trouble with the 704, front on its a monster but side or rear its just another TD
that said i think there might be something wrong wih its rear armour, the long 10.5 on my KT fails to penetrate with alarming regularity but not sure if thats just me :Smile_honoring:

Mod.704 is ok, is not OP at all.
For those who think that the OP let it try and let supply and will see that it is not so easy to drive it and play with it ... it is easy to judge who does not drive a mod. 704.

Yep

Basically if you have ever driven a TD or camped and see object in the enemy team before battle starts. you can be 99% sure its going to be in the best camping spot of the map.

Other thing what i have noticed is that people fear the cannon even after it has been fired, Many times i have kept 2-3 mediums at bay and reloading my gun. After ISU/OBject fires it takes ages to load so even slower tanks can flank it.

well, object is definitely the best current TD, JT is no match for it
overpowered? compared to what? the JT? yes then its overpowered. compared to tier 9 heavies/meds? its ok, nothing major, and as stated many times you win against 2-3 meds/heavies easily, because of the fear factor and because they dont know how to play (they play peek-a-boo with you instead of rushing and killing you)

One more thing, the BL10 gun is the biggest fail in game, how good it is, also is bad...when you try it you will know why.

The dmg on the gun is just awfull....same on ISU...

And even one tank that supports this beast makes it almost unstoppable...

I drive one, it has 2½ things that are good;
1: BL10 gun
2: Mantlet armor (260+rounded slopes)
3: Mobility

It has flaws:

Shots dissappear in air alot (unless they "fixed" it)
Shots bounce on tigers, vk3601 and other things that are non sloped with "thin" armor.
Weak armor at the front, its good modeled but bad thickness, and since thickness is better in this game then sloping well, its paper macheé.
Its gun has crap accuracy and lives of its super penetration rather then "aiming" for parts + long aim time.

I can go on extending the lists for a while but im lazy, IMO i think the 704 is ok to meet & fight against and play it myself.
If anything is OP and to ventilate about is the fact that the T54 is a tier 10, pantherII is tier 7/8, pershing a tier 8½.

I certainly hate encountering a 704; but it isn't OP, it's just scary in precisely the way a top end TD should be. It's a nightmare when you can't see it and dangerous even when you can, but that 120mm front slope doesn't give it anything like the protection some of the forum/general chat drama queens make out.

Is JT scary? I think we all can agree that not yet, at least not until its fixed.

if he cowers his lower hull (not that hard) its fucking horryfying... both lv8, and lv9 TD, of both nations, are scary as hell... real tank DESTROYERS :)
