Well, let's do some math first:
Campinovka + many TD's = Ultimate campfest/1shotparty
Second, a flashback:
[ Pre-8.6 ]
OMG arty has sniper accuracy!!!
OMG you can't see arty when they shoot thats unfair!!!
OMG arty 1shot me all the time!!!
OMG nerf arty they are too OP
OMG their shells penetrate too easily
and [ POST-goldshelforcreditpatch ]
Oh hell no, everybody shooting gold and penetrate everything!
Oh hell no, now every newb can do damage without aiming!
Third, Look at this picture:
Posted Image
Fourth:
The situation [ POST 8.6 ] : Replace every word ''arty'' from the second step with ''TD''.
Without kidding.
This battle was ridiculous. Even though we won with 15-5 or so,
It was like : Enemy spo.......ow, hes gone already.
One-shots, 2 shots or just destroyed in seconds.
Those Jagdanzers, why they should have 200 mm armour?
EVERY normal AP shell from TDs has the penetration of gold ammo.
The non-TDs with gold pen them anyway
After this battle, 6 questions appeared in my mind:
- Why do we even need gold ammo? we got TD's
- Why do we even have armour? We got TD's
- Why do we even need camo? We got TD's (that won't get spotted anyway)
- Why do we need arty? We got TD's ( that 1shot, pen everything, have pinpoint accuracy and can't be spotted )
- Why do we need meds? We got TD's (that turn faster then a med or will magically  bounce/ Crithit on the side of a TD (opposite side of armour, spaced crap))
- Why do we need Hitpoints? We got TD's ( that will eat half of your Hitpoints with 1 shot and then kicks the second one in with his autoloader )
- Why do we need XP calculations? We got TD's ( where every ''newb'' can get damage and XP without aiming or other crap)
Just would like to hear some opinions about this.
Good night chaps
PS : unnerf artyyyyyzzzzz!  :great:

Too much of anything is bad. Same with auto-loaders. Same with laser gun mediums.

But it's still a lot easier to deal with something that requires line of sight to hit you, has to stay within a certain range and has to actually hit to do damage.

+1, I don't miss 4+ arty parties, I would deal with a TD  easier than a rain storm from above.

Saw this coming... but even tho I was against all the arty nerfing.. I must admit, I've been enjoying games more now. Maybe because I also drive some monster TD's

There is big TD special on this week. What would you expect?

^ This is also important to keep in mind for battles during the week.

For arguments sake, let's say TDs are now OP.
At least it's a step in the right direction to have a tank be OP in the game World of Tanks.

the game will never be balanced, something always have to be more OP than others.. I'm not a fan of TDs myself, I do feel some of them are easier to play than other tanks but if the solution is general TD nerf then no thanks..

Yea about that tank destroyer is not a tank either but anti tank vehicle, and they were mostly stationary just like artillery.

In that game on screenshot all others were screwed except the blue tanks, im fed up of TD's i play my MT haveto do miracles for 3-4k dmg and these monkeys just haveto  shoot and hit 3 times for same amount, bloody hell i'll get myself a TD also, i'll get that big fat bastard JPE100 and massacare light's, meds, heavy's other fat bastards you name it.

Tank and anti-tank vehicle isn't mutually exclusive. Just like infantry support vehicle, reconnaissance vehicle etc.

Tanks in general (in WW2) were mostly stationary when not moving into firing positions.

What WG calls TDs in this game is a lot of different types of vehicles. The very iconic armoured designs like Jagdpanther which were supposed to survive cannon shells, the "anti-tank gun on tracks" like Marder which are just motorized anti-tank guns, the assault guns/SPGs repurposed into the anti-tank role like SU-152 or StuG III and you also have the GMCs the US preferred like the Hellcat.

It is not 100% defeat with monster tds in the enemy team, you can shoot them back and kill and they need sight line to actually shot you.

If you are far away you will not be blasted out from the sky. Sure that match looks ridicolous, but it would be looking the same with a wolfpack of t62 and batchats. Actually those would rip tds in pieces very fast.  :playing:

The answer td's isn't arty! It's simple in my mind rebalance everything. Tier 7 scouts should have the best view ranges best camo etc, td's should have monster pen but less alpha, maybe not so hard core frontal armour and so on. However the fv 4202 should get a armour buff of maybe say 500mm of frontal armour 400mm of side armour and  a 500 pen gun then everything would be good
