Dear all,
Wargaming Europe, with the help of Mikhail Zhivets we are happy to share the first screenshots of the Japanese tanks that will be rolling out in the game quite soon.
"The Japanese line will initially field two branches with nine medium and five light machines, including such fabled models as the Chi-Ri prototype, the first post-war Japanese design Type 61, the light Type 95 Ha-Go and the medium Chi-Ha tanks. Developed during the late 1950s, the prototype of the (ST B-1) will become the Tier 10 medium model.
Along with existing armored vehicles from the USA, China, France, Great Britain, Germany and the USSR, the new tech tree coming one of the forthcoming updates will become the 7th national line introduced into the game."
First iteration of the tech tree:

Some screenshots of the new toys:
NC27 Otsu (Tier 1 light)

Type 97 Te-Ke (Tier 2 light)

Type 95 Ha-Go (Tier 3 light)

Type 98A Ke-Ni (Tier 4 Light)

Chi-Nu (Tier 5 medium)

Chi-To (Tier 6 medium)

Enjoy!
P.S - The topic remains opened for your comments.

Nope. Japs in WW2 had pretty bad tanks compared to other nations, but after WW2 they had nifty ideas. Generally I would expect small nimble tanks with crap armor and somewhat good guns.
Type 61 - There a few prototypes that are unconfirmed to be in-game along with it.
Type 74  - If they couldn't strech Type 61 to tier10 I wouldn't mind early prototypes of Type 74.

Well that STB1 looks like a Leo1 copy/paste, but it has a tougher turret armor and is slightly smaller then the T62A.

It looks fairly decent. Also that "army brown" looks tbh more like army rust... Blargh :/.

So..now tell us how you're not able to make Polish tech tree even with one line (when we actually have confirmed tanks and prototypes to fill one line) when there's a Jap one with one and a half tank line

Awesome tanks!
-
Those last two look particularly "powerfull" for some reason. Curious if the armour is anything since it's all flat angles much like the early German tanks.

Cobra 6

Cobra 6

bad armor, bad gun (75mm as far as i know) but sort of nimble and expect a high RoF.

didn't take long to have PL cry baby who is think all world is spinning around PL...

and if u cant see title it is First glance at the Japanese tech tree.

What the...you suddenly got the need to write with big letters ? Blah

I'm not a crybaby, I just want to see how WG ignores more and more their community.

On top of all, instead of adding new tanks they should fix aka. improve MM....but hey, who cares.

well as u are probably blind, i fixed title...  :blinky:
WG ignores who again? crybabies?
U didn't say we need new bigger maps, with better game engine, u CRIED that u need some PL tanks...

As I said WG ignores community. If you don't see that...I don't know who is blind here

Why u need bigger maps when the game needs lot of fixes ? Why u even want new maps when every map that is added to game disappears for the next few months "cus it needs polishing"?

why not make a eastern european nation mixing all eastern tanks into one ? you could easily fill a tech tree that way.but instead WG goes the wrong direction and dosent finish the china tree but starts another one !!! finish what you have started and then start new projects WG

guess thats a joke... since that would mean at least 2 more german TD lines, at least 1 more US medium line etc etc...
why would you want to "finish" other trees before adding new nations, makes no sense... and japanese tree will have heavies as far as i know, so its not "one line" like some pl guy claimed, its just the start
and japs were planned for a long time, we all knew they were coming, finishing some lines of the same for existing tech trees should never be above new ones :P
