Oh wow, when I first went through the T-34 I went A-43 as I wanted to get the Obj-430, but the A-44 made me rage quite the line. I unlocked the top 85mm of the '34-85 on the IS and decided to try out the '34-85 for lols. I think this is my 2nd favourite tank now (after chi-he :girl:). I'm at 64% wins, 836 average damage and 1890 win8 at 70 battles played, far higher than my overall stats (is this tank OP?). Anyone have any clue on what it takes to get the 2nd mark? My average damage used to be ~930 but I had 5 games in a row where I did below 600 damage due to bad RNG, poor position and trying to scout in not the best situations. I'm running rammer+vents atm as I got out dpm'd by a Skoda T40 one game and rage bought equipment for it.

Just more games. I'm at 86.5% MoE with mere 720 damage plus 332 assisted.

The tank is OP, yes, but since vast majority of players rush through it towards T-54 and Object 140, it appears to be relatively easy to ace and get gun marks on. The same performance in Rudy gives only 2nd classes and keeps me hovering at 40%.

I should've got this sooner, because it's a great medium tank. So good that I aced it on the 13th battle, and got a Pascucci, and a Kolobanov's medal (the Kolobanov being my first ever of its kind... I hope not the last) with that. Also, got my first marks of excellence in less than 48 battles. I wonder if I can get 3, tho.

Update: Yes. definitely a keeper. 75 battles, 1078 average damage and already aced it 4 times.

About to post this in this board when I also saw this thread and I thought that it might be nice to link it here to for all you T-34-85 fans! The video below shows you the T-34-85 up close and personal, hopefully giving you a bit more of a sense of scale and the chance to view the tank from a range of angles... things you don't always get to appreciate in World of Tanks...

That's funny, I myself am absolut crapwith this tank. After 50 battles I sit at a pathetic 41% wr lol, I can't just blame my teams for this, there must be something I do wrong with this tank. I'm not that bad, since I managed to two-mark the AT-8 in 60 battles just before starting to grind the 85 :p But for a tank that is supposed to be contender for the best in tier, I have much better results in my strv 74

Finally found the t34-85 fanclub :). My words: I freaking love this tank.

1. It's the damn legendary t34 85.

2. Looks awesome :)

3. It's a murder machine in WoT that can influence even the toughest tier 8 matches( it's the first medium that plays like a true medium combining decent speed and agility, excelent gun, good vision control and good enough turret armour & gun depression and a surprisingly bouncy side armour).

Also for the ones that are griding trought it: The final product it's worth the awfull grind. Also, as an advice try using the derp gun if your tank is stock.

A very good tank. Check this out. You can see my crap crew there, imagine if it was a 3 skill crew?

Hey, just want to 'register' for the Fan CLub of this tanks as well.

I do own the regular T-34-85) as well as the 2 Premium versions (Rudy and the M).

It took me quite long to understand and handle this tank properly: first attempt was during by starter phase and I totally failed. I read in the forum (german part) of how good this tank is and that it is considered as one of the best regular tier 6 tanks, Tried it again but failed again. Result where roughly 400-450 games and orange WN8.

Somewhere last year, shortly after I joined my clan I started to learn driving medium tanks and finally I learned and managed now after another 700 battles with the regular T-34-85 to double the overall damage output and was also able to achieve the third gunmark.

The Rudy is of course also very nice and I used it a lot to train 2 Berlin crews to now serve on the T-54 and Object 140. Unfortunately I was so far not able to achieve the second gunmark (the third MOE is not realistic for a player with my skill level), was several times very close (84,85% was the closest) already but failed. Well, maybe some other day.

The latest family member was the T-34-85M which I initially didn't want to buy but another clan mate did such good advertising that I finally gave up and bought it as it was on sale the last time. And although I really didn't needed the tank I do not regret that I've purchased it. What a M-O-N-S-T-E-R.

Well I must admit that WG did failed in the balancing of the tank in the latest buff (basically remove all previous weaknesses and keep his strengths).

Played more than 200 battles now and was lucky enough to achieve the second MOE yesterday. The tanks also brought me 2 Radley Walters and several ace tankers.

Conclusion: I am now a big fan of the T-34-85 in all his models and agree that it is one of the strongest tier 6 tanks in the game.
