And in the other news, I find this extremely interesting even though I am not participating. Got my spoon in the soup, I suggested the name for the tournament :)

This event isn't organised by Wargaming.
Various games and sports around the world have national contests to promote the game/sport in that country. This is something really cool and Finland has a fairly large WoT playerbase.

So yeah, Finland Swedish are welcome to participate, and everyone else with a Finnish citizenship.
Actually I think it would be awesome if we would get one 100% Finland Swedish team and they'd win something so on livestream we'd hear the caster babbling with his horrible school swedish skills while interviewing them

(For those who don't get it: Finland has 2 official languages. Swedish is one of them)

Yeah, but how you prove that? My question was exactly because of that, you can prove his lang by asking him, or prove his IP. I think that citizenship is a thing which is private, isnt it? I could be wrong, sorry then :/

This is a good question. As this most propably will be a quite exceptional case among participants, feel free to contact me directly with PM if such situation rises and we'll check with our game admin/referee what we can do. Naturally we're trying to get as many Finns playing as possible and speaking Finnish and living in Finland might just be enough for most of the tournament admins.

Let's be practical here. If someone speaks fluent Finnish and is not a Finnish citizen then that person will probably get into the tournament despite being technically not allowed there. I'm quite certain there won't be any of those.
And as for the proof of citizenship, if we have a team where everyone speaks fluent Finnish then those can get in. if we get a full team that cannot speak a word of Finnish then those guys should figure out some way of proving themselves.
In b4 the whole Virtus.PRO is suddenly from Finland

All I can say is that everybody I have contacted in WG have been most supportive and helpfull which has made it possible for me and my team to organize this. I highly recommend other countries try something similar. All it takes is few dedicated organizers and a lot of faith.
Also wanting to thank my team (Taifuuni for webpages, Waara for marketing and Infernalflames for those awesome graphics) who have made this possible.
