Hi,

I am StatPadder. I currently play solo and need a stronk T4 tank to carry hard. The tank needs to be mobile so I can switch flanks easily and carry there. Tank must be a wn7/8 generator. Currently playing the T-127 so I don't get trolled too hard by the MM.  Any advice appreciated.

Cheers

hetzer, not to fast but very good gun and ok armor.
or go for T-28, very good gun, very fast so you can be in the right place.

T40 with its top gun is a good choice, but for real speed, the M8A1 can't be beat. The Pzkw III is fast but lacks the punch of the M8A1. From your noobmeter profile, the logical choice is the M5A1, as you like playing light tanks. But if you are wiling to go through the grind or use up your free XP, then the M8A1 is worth it.

I notice you are most successful in the Cruiser III, the Cruiser IV with 40mm Pom Pom can be a real pain in the butt, for the enemy that is.

The hetzer is sadly blind so not great for solo play. Tbh any UNICUM would wipe me out. Thanks though

As long as the angle isn't too bad, certainly. Since the front and sides are both ~70mm running into one angled at 45 degrees or so might be problematic. As long as they're coming directly towards you no problem though.

T40 is a better bet to carry at Tier 6.  Propper gun, enough ammo and a 400m view range.   If you wanted the 57mm, you'd have taken it at T3.

whats the gun arc and shell velocity like? I tried t82 on the US server and found the gun arc troublesome at times.

M8A1 - since there aren't many pure city maps, it is rather good - good view range, camouflage value, the gun is pretty nice with high dpm / low alpha. I suggest you don't equip a fire extinguisher and go for the cheap fuel stuff for 2.5k credits instead, makes the traverse a little better. Driving around with a 50% camo crew atm and it already feels pretty stealthy.

M8A1 struggles with some T5 heavies too. If you're not afraid of using gold go for M8A1. Otherwise T40 is probably the safer choice.

M8A1 and Alecto (low tier E25, I've seen some insane matches done with it, low, small, very fast, great camo).

As for Hetzer, the view range is terrible, but the camo is great, all you need to do is just make use of the camo till something comes in range then one shot it, it also gets dinged pretty reliably, the other problem is ammo tho, it doesn't carry enough, if some extremely durable tanks show up they'll eat a few HE shells before they die, when that is not the case the enemy team will disintegrate completely after a few HEAT shells (pretty easy to do 1300+ damage on it every match).

If you're not playing Alecto with the derp you're playing Alecto wrong!

Don't think I will skip T4 :) tbh I hate derps. I need something I can shoot scouts on the move. Derps are too slow for that.

I am am making progress though. It's clear I need a TD but it's not easy. It's a toss up now between the t40, m8 and the SU-85b
I am just on the wiki working the details out.

Just remembered I can try them all on the test server :)

I did play Alecto with derp, because it's the most outrageous cannon in the game, the shells simulate the trajectory of SPGs, it's like you're trying to score a slam dunk, but I can't deny that it's terribly random and the high ROF cannons are way more efficient, in fact the derp is so bad that I used to run circles around enemies to simply blast their engine because sniping with it wasn't funny most of the time.
