I know this can be an outrage but how about japanese tanks ? (perhaps in a pacific version of the game)
Japanese tanks were bad, and mostly because of lack of interest in the Japanese Leadership (the IJN got a lot more attention with it's huge Air Force) that caused by the fact that Japan mostly fought in the waters of the Pacific and in the far east, tanks were unnecessary. Though they had a killer artillery
And about the Italians: Their heaviest tank is the P 40, which is around the same weight of the M4 Sherman (and also in terms of firepower), but their AT was pretty good.

Omg... I just remembered... the italians had the Semovente 90/53, a TD with a 90mm gun!!

and Semovente 105/25 (considered as the best AFV of Italy during the war), Semovente 149/40

Yeah, but both were SPGs, not TDs. And the 149 only existed in in prototype... which is fine for WoT  :Smile_great:

But the tanks were not very good. At best, the biggest to see action (M15/42) can be compared to a mid-life PzIII with the 50mm. The largest prototype, the P40, is barelly at early Sherman-level...

Italian tanks.. 1 gear forward and 5 gears backwards. Still the Italians deserve a place in this game even though they epicly failed against the british.. and this means something. ^^

Edit: -4? Have i caused some hard feelings? o.O

Leave France, they were epic fail against the Greeks, Greeks! A nation without tanks and with the worst airplanes in the world (and much smaller)

They had two Vickers 6 ton and some captured tankette, off course captured on Italy.  :P
But I don't get this part or air planes.

The Greeks had Polish airplanes, nothing comparable to the RA fighters.
And the Greece was much smaller state in terms of population at those days.
BTW Vickers 6 ton is the basis for all of the Italian tanks (including the "medium" ones)

Seriously? Nothing comparable?

PZL P.24 - one winged full all-metal plane
Maximum speed: 430 km/h
2 Oerlikon FF cannons and 2 MGs or 4 MGs

FIAT CR.42 - single-seat fighter sesquiplane
Maximum speed: 441 km/h (238 kn, 274 mph) at 20,000 ft
2 × 12.7 mm (.5 in) machine-guns

Aldo Greece had French and English airplane like Bloch MB.152, Potez 633, Fairey battle.

The Italians had Macchi MC200 and fiat G-50, Which are outperformed the PZL P24, a lot of the weapons orders weren't executed from it's origin's state.
BTW: the British aircraft were mostly of the RAF, that was the main reason why the RA got knocked-out (along with the weather conditions).

Yes they was faster, but FIAT was main Italian fighter in this time, isn't it?
Point is not that Greece air force was as good as Italian, especially in numbers, but that they wasn't worst in the world.

Performance aren't determinate by speed only, there are also a lot of other parameters (like climb speed).
The RA gained air superiority very quickly during when it was faced against the Hellenic forces (BTW, the FIAT was a very good airplane in terms of manoeuvrability and had a very strong fuselage so I don't sure how the PZL faced against it)

Well personally I hope they're releasened soon - not just so they can start work on the British tanks but because I really want to play as the French ones :D I love their dinky little tanks that are actually rather tough!  Plus French early war camouflage is...interesting & will be fun for me to skin.
