Pretty good tank, i love it. Fast, manouverable with good camo & viewrange. Not much slower than the Pz I C, you can easily circle most of your enemies. Another thing the T-15 is really good at is killing Pz I C's. They can't pen the frontal armor, while you can rape them.

I was platooning with a Pz I C some days ago, and when we met a Pz I C platoon, i went forward, took all the shots and then we raped them. I got 1300+ potential damage in a battle. Could have gotten a steel wall, but arty killed me at the end. :(

It's really really fun to run around the map and confuse the enemy. :D

Got mine yesterday and had some first games with it. I really like it. I didn't expect too much and was rather surprised by the speed and the viewrange.

Here are my best games so far:

If you still think about whether or not it's worth the grind: It is! Had some solo games where I played it a bit more passive and some in a light tank platoon with a Locust and a Pz1C where we rushed the enemy and it worked quite well in both. Only thing you should have in mind: You're restricted to the scout role on tier 5. The gun is pretty useless there...

I got mine through the mission too, and I really like it. I use vents, optics, binos and passive scout most of the time since the view range is really good. The gun has horrible pen with normal ap but atleast the aim time is low

Tier5 matches annoy me, got this from the missions and always facing kv-1. beside that, it is quite good.

Got it last night for free, excellent scout. You can even brawl in low tier battles, but it doesn't bounce a lot of shots like my T-127... Got 6 out of 6 victories so far, turned the tide in a couple of matches by going on active scouting (I prefer passive scouting a lot). I only played one game with tier 5 vehicles and it was very difficult. A lot of heavy tanks have your view range and you will get hit (dead driver, engine knocked out in that game). I fired at a Churchill III's butt and penned only once in the lower plate. I bounced all shots on a KV-1, even though I fired at his weakspots... I'm gonna use this T-15 to train my Pz II's crew skills (currently at 70% cammo, going for sixth sense).

Crew: 70% cammo skill for commander, driver, loader, radio operator is lower (Pz II doesn't have one...)

Equipment: cammonet, binocs, toolbox for now. Vents/binocs/optics + 100% cammo skills would be better, I guess.

I love this machine, definitely a keeper. Actually I don't exactly play it as a scout, more like a sniper-brawler, but it seems that works well too :)

It is definitely a fun tank. The gun is... well, it is a tier 2 gun in a tier 3 tank. But no-one seems to take T-15 seriously, so I've gotten some delicious kills with it (even in tier 5 games).

Unfortunately sometimes the gun just... Well, you can't pen B1 from the rear, even with gold ammo. I couldn't pen KV-1's fuel tank, even with gold ammo. I've had duke-outs with other T-15's, where we both fail to frontally penetrate each other, leading into hilarious cat & mouse games that last for minutes.

For comparison:

T-15
40/40 HP
42/74 mm

M3 Stuart
40/40 HP
56/78 mm

Cruiser Mk. II
45/45 HP
64/121 mm

AMX 38
55/55 HP
45/79 mm

BT-7
47/47 HP
51/88 mm

T-46
40/40 HP
58/92 mm

So, keep those caveats in mind. Still, it is a fun relaxing tank, if you don't expect too much from the combat performance.

This is a really nice little T3 premium tank. Looks like lots of players got it from the mission - so did I.

.

It reminds me of BT2/7 - very good mobility, accurate gun (though to get the max performance, a mix of standard and APCR shells is advisable) - there is nothing not to like, unless you refuse to shot premium shells at all :honoring:

The armour is usefull, so you don't worry about all those machinegun spammers, which is a nice change from BT series.

.

High HP pool allows to bruteforce other T3 tanks, in case things go bad and you are forced to close combat.

But it should be avoided when possible; it's better to abuse the excellent view range of 350m :deer:

This is a very strong point of this tank.

.

I am having a real blast with it, even though I use fresh crew. It feels like I'm going to have many more games in T-15 :playing:

One more thing - this tank seems pretty underrated, as lots of players take you for easy prey (and often gets burned hard) - its funny.

Got it after a grind from hell last night with donkey teams. So only had the one battle in it Scout, Patrol Duty Confederate ( I think), first class, sniper. So really rather nice. Looking forward after a break to playing it properly.

Got one and had real luck in my first match (equal Tier, Provinz; got Topgun, Master Gunner, Sharpshooter, Ace Badge & 22k credits... nice). I have only time for 2 lowtiers and usually I play my T127 & Tetrach. Time will tell if he can replace one of them.

[Edit] Directly equipped him with Binocs (tx WG for another present) and camo net.

The big challenge for me is finding how I can damage tier 5 tanks in it. Fired a few premium shells at a PZ IV, not a single one penetrated. Did the same against the side and the bobble on top of an AT2, again zero damage.

Are they sure they haven't made a mistake with the matchmaking for this tank? Should it be restricted to tier 4 max, or would that make it too OP?

You can pretty much roflstomp every tier3 tank. you can do well in tier4 battles as well. In a tier5 battle you are a scout, but you can still do some damage.

For tier 5 you need to find the weakest weak spots and know which tanks you can't penetrate at all. AT-2 for example: mantlet is 150 (effective 350+) mm. Upper sides and rear 100 mm. The cupola is 100 mm as well, just as the weak spot in the middle of the mantlet. There is no spot that you can penetrate, even with gold. If you're not packing HE, don't bother. After several tries, I've found a few spots in KV-1 that I can penetrate, but the angle needs to be perfect. Etc.

Like mentioned before, the best feature of the tank is the fact that everyone ignores it. 40 damage doesn't feel much, but once they realize how fast those hits are coming... Unfortunately, now that so many of them are out, people will start reacting differently,

Good points.

Fortunately, it's not T-15s job to carry the fights in a T5 game, so stick to spotting/annoying enemies.

BTW you can pen AT2 from behind, using premium shell.

It seems like a very nice clubseal mobile. Excellent view range for tier 3, very good mobility. Gun is what it is though; need to go gold a lot of the time.

The view range in particular makes all the difference, as your opponents are most likely noobs with 50 % crew. The gun also enables you to snipe, unlike the Pz I C.

I won this little bug on January mission. Didnt have a crew for it so I had to get a fresh one. Now is almost at 100% and keep training. T3 fights are fun. Shot on the move and adrenaline will rise high :). T5 are hard to master, but surpriselly I got the M badge in one of it. Ofcourse, it was the right map for it, Malinovka. Got than Patrol Duty and Scout and ended as first one based on exp. Damage made, just 40 HP. Overall is a nice tank but the gun is tier 2 and lacks to pen very often.

Had a fun tier 5 game last night on Cliff. After a disappointing start (didn't manage to hurt a VK20.01 from distance....everything bounced) I went for surprise butt-shots and finished off a M4 Sherman, a T-34 and a StuG. The StuG was the only vehicle that required more than 1 shot, he had like 160 hp or something and he was the best player of the enemy team. We won the match because our arty capped with me. You can imagine the rage of the mediums tank drivers... getting owned by a T-15....

I started the game today with an invite code off my mate and bought the T-15 with the gold. I have the crew from the Leichttraktor in it (mates advice) and they seem to be doing well for me.

I just earned enough to buy Improved Ventilation class 1 and want to know if it's the best thing to spend my silver on?

Vents on the T-15 is a good choice, along with Camo net and Binocs (or optics), however, consider that the vents are fixed (unless you pay gold) and class dependant, while the camo net and binocs can be moved from tank to tank… Personally I would save the credits to own at least one binoc, camo net, and tool box each, before spending too much on equipment for a low tier tank (if you don't own them already that is).

Don't forget that you can also buy crew for researched but un-purchased german light tanks and run them in the T-15 to train the up. Handy to do when crew are on discount, and it will help reduce the pain of the grind, especially on tier IV scouts (assuming you wish to continue up the german lines).
