I'm not one for jumping on hype wagons, but the more and more I see of War Thunder Land combat the more I think, man these guys are serious.

Like this for instance

Watching that and looking as screenshots like this

Spoiler

I think Gaijin really ain't f****ng around.

I know there is more to a game than looks, but really be honest alot of people will probably play WT over WoT even if its gameplay is not as good based on the visuals alone.

Don't get me wrong I love WoT but looking at this makes WoT look really like and old game from 2000, Competition is a good thing and I only hope WG react to this in a positive way! We have rumors of remodels and new havok engine but so far we have seen nothing to back this up, No alpha shots, no videos showing new physics WG needs to give us a carrot or something, otherwise all but the hardcore WoT fans will probably up and leave as soon as WT is released, because lets be honest humans are pretty Impressionable and easily lured by pretty shiny things.

I Just don't want WG to end up like Nokia and Blackberry, resting on their laurels while iPhone and Android take over the market.

I love the way it is labelled as a tanks sound recording video...so what do they do?  Swamp all those awesome tank sounds with atmospheric music...muppets.

I though the same thing, but props to them for actually recording the real deal!!

Are you sure those are screenshots? These look more like artwork tanks pasted into rendered environment to me...

Did you see the gameplay footage that was released? That's actually how the game looks.

As I recall WG spent some time at Bovington recording the real deal.  Just because it's recorded doesn't mean it will get used in game.  Adding individual sound files for every vehicle makes for big downloads.

They did exactly the same thing when they record sound for airplanes.
I really love that sound of B-17 they took on the ride around the airfield
.
I don't want to talk about WG vs Gaijin, but I really like their game mechanic of planes.
WIthout any HP / Armor or damage... I this really great idea... well, atleast for me.

Because otherwise Wargaming might steal them and put them in WoT  :teethhappy:

Do not worry most of the guys who will try out WT will soon give up in frustration as that game is a real tank game without all the fancy fantasy stuff WG have cooked up. It is a real game with a lot more depth then WoT as they have proven with their areoplane game, compared to which WoWarplanes is a kiddies game with the usual fantasy planes and hitpoints. I for one will move on to WT (already have done so) and have voted with my wallet just as Mr SerB has told us, you no like you go so I went (only here to get my last 2 tier 10 tanks which means I only play about 5 to 6 games a day compared to 30 to 40) and have already spent around 250€ on WT which would have gone to WoT before the Stalin thing, and I know for a fact that I am just one of many, this game is heading for a nose dive and WoWarplanes will flop once the players compare the two.

And the best thing of all WT is going for historical accuracy and not fantasy world.

Don't forget the OST. The existing one and the new music for tanks sounds great.

if this is as good as it seems, then bye WoT.

WarGaming, get the devs to put down the Vodka for a day, they might realise what's about to happen.

I am so finished with WoT once that gets released.
I mean... Who wouldn't wanna leave WOT for the bad graphics and bad matchmaker etc...
Also... I don't think that Wargaming much cares. They made their millions from their players. Right?

omg... I just realized... imagine the customization abilities in war thunder on your tanks! screw overpriced and ugly camos with pathetically limited emblems and inscriptions. WG will feel it in the budget when tanks hit war thunder, which is great. Personally it seems to offer a lot more then WG ever will. Notice how war thunder release entire techtrees with modfications left right and center for both aircraft and tanks? and WG just have a few planes in WoWp? Yep, WG is a lazy moneygrabbing greedmachine, and I can't wait for a MUCH better alternative like this will be.

I can honestly say it does look much better than WOT in terms of graphics and immersion. I see WT tanks game as a good thing because it may help give WG the kick up the arse it needs.

This said I am quite sure that this isnt the end of WOT players will still come here. The interface and xp grading for WOT is superior imo and in general the income system seems to be more balanced in WOT. im goin on planes mechanics but we shall see.

I will probably play both,

Oh snap, they use the sound from real tanks and guns? Why didn't we think of that....
