Hello, kameraden!
As much as I love playing WOT I often realize there are things missing in it that should be there.
Todays topic: muiltiple guns on a single tank.
Tanks such as the french B1 bis and the M3 lee have two guns each, yet neither uses both.
Imagine a B1 bis with its AT gun on top in a turret and a functional howitzer in the hull. That would be an interesting change to look forward to.
What do you guys think?

You do realise that the B1's hull gun has ZERO traverse, so you would have to turn the whole tank to move the gun. And as for the M3 Lee, that 2nd gun is only a 37mm AT gun.

Some people have trouble managing with just the one gun! Nice thought but maybe not.

Extra guns might still be useful for destroying cover. Also a functioning 75mm coaxial could be useful on a Maus.

They are basically just for show, if you look quite a lot of the tanks have two guns but I would quite like to see them both used. I think the M3 Lee has 30mm as well as the 75mm? Still, I agree, I would like to see it use both guns just for fun.

There have been talk of this since the game was launched. How serious it is is unknown. I am guessing; soon.

Churchill 1 has a second gun as well.
Would be interesting to have those guns around, would be hard to control though but could be a good 3 player tank.

I know. That dosent stop the french tank destroyers with near zero gun traverse from fighting.

Two guns for some of the tanks that historically had them could be interesting, and useful. I think two is probably the limit that one player could realistically hope to control though.

IRL, the normal reason for two guns on the B1, Lee, and Churchill I was so that they could fire an effective HE round with the hull gun (for attacking infantry, bunkers, and anti-tank guns), and an effective AP round with the turret gun (for attacking other tanks). I could see the M3 Lee becoming a lot more effective if you could fire a round with the 75mm, then switch to the 37mm in the turret and get off a couple of shots while the hull gun was reloading. Might make those tanks a tad overpowered in the game though, particularly the Lee and the Churchill (you also get the situation where only the Churchill I with the 2pdr had the howitzer in the hull, so it would probably have to disappear if you bought the turret upgrade, though this might lead to people keeping the stock turret through choice).

It's probably doable, if the folks at WG decide that it'd be a good thing for the game.

WG said they were working on it in beta. They were still working on it when the game was released. Havent heard anything in about a year though.

Isn't that the same gun on the tier 4 M5 light tank, the 37mm M6 gun?
If it is, it's quite useful at that tier.
