There never will be a final build.

Or at least that's the plan.

Indeed.

The final build will give us 50.000 x 50.000 maps.
You know, where the environment is totally destructible.
Where we can host 64 v 64 games.

Too bad that final build will not come from WG.
It will come from old WG fans in 2027.
The old fanbase backtracked the WG coding and improved it.
They got rid of little annoying bugs and made the code up to date so it could run on any multithreaded quantum computer (we all have those by then).

Kind of the Frontier:First Encounters project.

Ahh... 2027 will be such a good year.

It's an MMO. The final build is the one the game dies with. 1.0 -> doesn't really make sense in MMO context especially if you don't have expansions or such. Sure, they could've named the release patch 1.0 or something but it's just a fancy number and means absolutely nothing when the game is constantly evolving.

This. "Final build" in MMO world usually means that the game is about to be shut down, and version number is just a number - they could put 10.3.4 there if they wanted to.

I heard in 0.9.9.9.4 they implement Hovertanks and Granadelauncher to counter artillery.

In MMO terms maybe its already released...
but if you see the game as a project its far from release version...
Ofc nowadays its the World Of MMO's ..but it is still a product...whether it is free (2play) or not.
Can you buy bread paste in shops.. yes you can... but they don't write on the package that it is bread... neither does(shall do) WG or any similar mmo which is slips into non beta status in an eye-blink.

You've wasted 300 hours in 5 months on a not-good game. You might want to reconsider your life.

The code is, as per WG, constantly upgraded. Code and engine. Whilst it may have taken them quite some time to actually improve anything, it's, I think, because of lack of competition. Now, that WT is releasing the ground warfare, apparently seems to have "pushed" WG to drastically improve code/engine/graphics for the near future/patches. It's all about the market. No competitors = you can basically do what you want and have your own prices/rules ... once there's a competition, even though if it's one that doesn't necessarily going to be something to fear about ( lol ), it is still competition and it makes you rethink your strategies and improve some of the things you have on the market. So, you should actually thank WT for releasing the ground forces....
Hoping only good things will come from this "competition"....
