So, you think that ppl that got Kolobanov's medal by running away from the enemy in the base defend mode when enemy have no time to cap did it in a stupid way just look at this - pure undeserved Kolobanov earned by luck.
Spoiler
I didn't think this is even possible. I hope removal of the medal from the account is possible.

You gotta do what you gotta do in order to win. This isn't a fair game. You do all that it takes to win. Do you think he cares how he got that Medal? He has it and that's that. Next to the medal it doesn't say how he got it. It's just there.

I don't get it. He won against 5 players. Alone. How is it undeserved? And he single-handedly won the game for his team.

I'd like to have my team full of players like that, instead of useless 44% winrate players.

No. I won just because this second T-54 capped the base as well and he got killed in few last seconds when the base got captured already and the enemy simply was too far away from me (they can also blame this AFK Jagdtiger :P ). For me this is not a proper way to get Kolobanov. That's why I want to give it back.

Look at the screenshot again - I got this medal and I think the way of getting it was unsatisfying for me.

I still don't get it. There was one tank alive versus 5 and he won and got Kolobanov.

I'm not sure how to react to "this is not a proper way to...". It's physics. It's not a ballet, Olympic Games or chivalry contest. It's war, and it's physics.

You are right. The requirements were met in this case. This is all about the way I met the requirements - I got one of the most epic achievements just by luck (nothing more) and I simply don't feel good with it. In my opinion this was just a stupid way to get it - normally Kolobanov is an epic and satisfying achievement (I guess). But after this I was more like "WTF" than satisfied.

Well then try to get one "the proper way" :)

But I disagree you got it "just by luck".

This is really an issue? Just accept the medal and dont think so highly of it?

I think highly of Kolobanov's. Don't care how someone gets them. The fact is you won vs 5 tanks one way or another. The team won because of your major contribution, and you show you manage to influence games, even drastically. Very often Kolobanov also shows that you're good at tactics and know when to retreat and reposition, instead of just waiting for enemies to plow over you.

I won my only Kolobanov's with a StuGIII in a Westfield Assault game by camping in the corner and not getting spotted. How heroic is that...

You can always write a support ticket and ask WG to remove the medal from your account.

Be warned, however, that even if you do and they do as you ask, you will NEVER win the "Craziest support request" competition. Not after that guy from NA had his 15 years of premium account reward removed this way...  :teethhappy:

And quite often it's won by an AFK tard on defence mode when the enemy run out of time. A medal for pr0s.

And "heroic" means rushing the flank, sidescraping till your eyes bleed, killing few enemy tanks at 50m distance like in "real" tank warfare...?

Heroic is when you win vs 5 enemies.

Also, theoretically, you can get Pool's medal by being AFK and 10 tanks with low hp ram your heavy tank or heavy td on spawn.

A medal for pr0s.

(see I can do it too)

That has never happened though, slight difference.

Edit: It's a cool medal if won correctly, I have a few, but they should make it so you can't fluke it under lame circumstances.

It happens almost as often as people getting Kolobanov's by being AFK in Assault.

I'm with OP, I think it should be if you took on 5 tanks alone and destroyed them then you should be awarded with the medal, not if you win by capping or running away during assault as a defender and letting the time run out.

I've got 2 Kolobanov's Medals by capping like OP and while I have no doubt I made the correct decision in both those games (just like the move OP pulled was also the correct decision), it shouldn't be awarded a medal that is so highly thought of (and usually difficult to get).

Also, if someone can get Kolobanov by being AFK entire battle, that shows superior tactic and skill of that AFK player.

I mean, you win versus 5+ enemies ALONE without moving and without shooting. If that doesn't deserve Kolobanov I don't know what does.
