I really don't understand all the negativity in this thread. You either like planes or you don't. If you don't just don't  play a flying game then. And you either like the game or you don't, who cares? No one is forcinig you to play it... The important part is that with the release of WoWp you get more game for the money you already invested in WoT. I don't really see the downside in that.

Sorry but a WW2 era dogfight without the British planes is like a salad without all the green bits.  Without a doubt THE iconic WW2 plane is the spitfire.  I would be extremely surprised to find any other WW2 era piston plane that could beat it in a 1 on 1 dogfight.  I would even go so far as to say it could hold its own against the early jets.  Manoeuvrability trumps raw speed every time.
What game are you talking about? If it is about WoWp, then it is clear you have no idea what you are talking about. The British planes and Spitfire are in WoWp, making your whole point mute (whatever point that might have been).
.
EDIT: dear negrepper(s), please enlighten me why you felt the need to negrep this post? Is it becasue I question the reason for all the negativity? Or is it for telling someone off for spreading nonsense? Really, i'm curious.

Hmmm.NO!I did plaid for a while but is too arcade and the fact that planes have hp is such a issue.War thunder is better.I mean yes is nice that you try to make people play it by offering premium accounts but for now i will stay on world of tanks and war thunder
You are trolling, right? How about tanks having HP, when in reality a single penetrating hit is enough? The only thing that may resemble a little with the crappy HP system are big ships, like battleships.

World of tanks for smarthphones and tablets. THATS where they should concentrate at. And asap. This market will give them 10000000x more profit than spending 2 years on arcade plane game.

War Thunder is simply superior to WOWP in its current state.

Lol, flying 15 minutes to the action and then meeting masses of cheaters is superior? That really made me laugh!

P.S.: WT is client-calculated, so anyone can cheat. WoWP is server-calculated (like WoT) and you cannot cheat unless you hack the WG mainframe.

Better put the garage battles in WoT instead of launching WoWP, I am tired of idiotic teams!

not even 7000 people playing this game during prime time right after launch.

I think that says exactly what people think of that game, now stop wasting your time and money WG and focus on making tanks better rather than wasting your time on planes that clearly hardly anyone is interested in

yea blaming others for the simple fact that you just can't play the game;) this game requires patience and positioning way more than WOT, get used to it and stop complaining;)

What a bunch of tosh, with such an assumption it's clear your flying is simply [edited], nothing to do with other players.
Unlike WoWP planes in War Tunder have much more detailed flight models and need their own dogfighting style.

Ever thought that War Thunder's audience doesn't usually need to cheat? If there are cheaters there, I can live with that. I can bet there are less cheaters in WT than 10-12 year old kids in WoT who have absolutely no idea what they're doing.
On-topic: To me WoWp plans still feel like flying bricks in a jelly soup. I love planes, but WT is 1000 times better. No matter how good will be tanks in WT, WoT will keep most of its audience for plenty reasons. Unfortunately, there are no such reasons for people interested in planes to keep them away from playing WT's planes and just forget that WoWp simply exists.

Hmmm, I could give you at least few examples. How about A6M5 Reisen huh? Ki6-b Hien?
Not to mention Shiden-Kai..... ;) Even Spitrife loses dogfights vs that UFO [edited] :D

Well......a BF-109 would but that discussion is useless unless you know the energy states of both planes and the competence of the pilots flying them :)

I was a closed beta and open beta tester in WoWp. I think I played 4 or 5 in each phase as the controls were just horrible. Planes (for me) didnt turn, climb, anything.

Now on the official launch I played it again, just to get the free gold for the tutorials, and a few battles to see how it was. I actually shot down one of the enemy. Something I had not done in the testing. But! the controls still are not right - bricks and jelly as someone already said, but a hell of a lot better than during beta!

I will visit WoWp again, but not very often, and not for long, until the flight models are sorted, and then, maybe, I will spend a little more time than 4 or 5 battles a week.

WG have really shot themselves in the foot with this one I fear

Just updated WoWP to try it again.  Did the first 2 tutorials (which are terrible really and teach you nothing about the game, the controls, or dogfighting at all) and then, halfway through the third tutorial my plane froze upside down and flew straight for about 30 seconds before I got disconnected from the server.  Le sigh...
