I went into a local model shop recently and with so many different tanks avalible i was drooling and wanting to buy the whole shop but theres so many different model companies making the same tank types and im not very good at picking quality. Does anyone know which company make the best model tanks kits. I opened one and it was really cheap plastic like you get in those army men bags, green flimsy and its what I want to avoid. I would like then to have hard plastic like GW makes for their tanks.

I would say Tamiya, Dragon and Trumpeter.
But to be honest they are all bit flimsy. And they are meant for people who would put time and effort into them.

You are asking the wrong people mate. Try looking up some model reviews on youtube. When I was a kid AirFix made some good cheep kits. But that was the 1970s and cheep was 25p.

It's a real long time ago I last did build those kind of models... but in that time Tamiya had a very good reputation. But I stuck mostly to Revell, as that was a lot cheaper.
Mind you, this was like 25 years ago or so...

I would suggest Dragon and Trumpeter for a good modeller or if your starting out Tamiya

It depends on the scale. Price-to-quality ratio Zvezda wins every time (15 euros for a 1/35 KV-2 mind that), though they are very simple. They have 1/72 scale models and are dirt cheap - 2 euros for a FlaK 38.

RC-wise I prefer Taigen, I have the M41A3 Walker BULLDOG pro 2.4 ghz 1/16 scale, you can see mine in action here http://youtu.be/4tDC7IAxBhw
Also own a few Hen Long tanks which look cool too, more vids on my channel about these (Panther, Jagdpanther) and a Hobby Engine "Abrams", playlist:  http://www.youtube.c..._pMohdAo2IBOdio
