Hmmm... If 48kB data took about 5 minutes to load, then 512MB would take...

48/5 is 9,6kB/min

512MB are 524.288kB

so that's 54.613minutes... or 2.275 days... or 6 years, 2 months and a half that would take to load that info on an old Sinclair!!!

I had so many games for my ZX when it broke down that I bought a 128k. 22 years after the Amstrad-Spectrum it is still operational and it does not show "Blue Screens" as Windows based PCs do. Spectrum RULES!   :Smile_great:

Let me give some more names I treasure up in my heart:

Exolon,
Tau Ceti II,
Elite,
Quazatron,
Mercenary Escape From Targ,
Dizzy series,
Heavy on the Magik,
Batllezone,
Nether Earth,
Equinox,
ATF,
Swords n Sorcery,
Tomahawk
F-16 Combat Pilot

I marked those which could probably rise my interest to tactical games like WOT.

Taking into account countrywide popularity of Speccy-clones in USSR in those days of old it might be supposed that some games from the list was known to WG team also :Smile_honoring:

I am 100% sure that WG Team was playing many of this games back in '80-s even Viktor(CO) said that he was a big Fan of 8-bit strategy games when he was a boy,one of his favorite games as he said is Laser Squad and personaly I loved that turned-based MasterPiece....

There was a tank simulator on C64. I dont remember the name of the game, but i remember i was playing that! There were and inside view of a tank, you could use periscope, and when you saw a tank, it was only 1 pixel in the big distance! as you approached, youcould see that this is a real tank. you could use machine guns as well, becouse there were a load of infantry too. The fuel was limited as well as the ammunition. Still dont remember its name, but i still have somewhere at home.

Some of my favorites were:
SAboteur,
Bruce Lee
Commando
Chequered Flag
TopGUn
F15
Tomahawk
Lords of Midnight series
etc  etc..

BTW Spec was way better BASIC-wise then C64 where you had to do 70% of things by POKE this POKE that commands..

Battlezone wasn`t that the one with polyhedric graphics? I mean: black background and green lines to create a 3d-Style? I remember that... and the Chequered flag, all Psion Games. My 48kb came with several games: Chequered Flag, Survival, Chess, Horace goes Skiing. Remember that turn-by-turn strategic games as Desert Rats, Their Finest Hour, Vulcan? And Dinamic games like Army Moves? Sniff... I fell melancholic
