Euhm the locust only had a 37mm gun and it drove 40 MPH not 30

Cool tank. It's like an allied tank with a german body, russian threads and an US turret :P

Visually, i prefer this tank above the M3 or M5... I don't know about the stats.

Mini-Sherman :) Stats will be weak, likely, but still, just because it looks like Sherman, it will come to my collection  :Smile-hiding:

As you can see, nothing special.T127 has much better stats

Typical behaviour towards US tanks

So it's basically
- it looks better, slopier than the M3
- is a little faster
- 50HP more than a stock M3
- the 37mm sacrifices damage and penetration for higher RPM, compared to the other 37mm.
- less armor (a lot less)
- less agility

Unless it has good acceleration and if the gun is very accurate/aims fast (mini-Easy 8!), I don't see this thing working.
The T127 has the best armor stats of all tier 3 lights to compensate it's speed and gun. The M22 has nothing (statwise)

Using it, I think it fits to Tier III, though just had few battles.

It is pretty agile, my first battle was Mines and I guess only T2 Lt would be faster on the hill than me.

I like it to be frank.
Haven't seen ANYONE else using it.
Hopefully not too many people will buy this tank after the screenshot I'm posting in a second:

(BEST 900 gold I've spent so far - And since it was from the 10.000 free gold, it's even better)

  • - Top Gun
  • - Confederate
  • - Damaged every tank but one, killed 6 of 'em, other heavily wounded
  • - Could've killed more but ran out of ammo

Awesome game. 100% crew and some equipment on it? And how does it fare in game where it's not on top?
Got some gold to burn and I can choose between this or the T127.

Got some gold to burn and I can choose between this or the T127.

Crew: 82%
Equipment: None
Tools: Repair (Manual), First-Aid (Manual), Fire Extinguisher (Manual)

When it's on top, you can perform some crazy stuff. Let's say it's good up to Tier IV. Sometimes you get into Tier V games tho', so you might as well just scout die then.

EDIT Reason: Changed the CSP (Crew Skill Percentage) - I checked, I have 82% crew skill currently, instead of 88%.

I bought Locust too. Its already my favourite tank, after about 20 battles. :) I´m not even a good player but still I´m having lots of fun with this tank. After I bought it I got the driver and commander straight to 100% and the gunner to 75%. No equipment installed yet.
The gun ain´t best but it performs actually pretty well if you just hit sides and rear. And RPM is pretty awesome with that gun. :) The max speed is very good and the acceleration is - if I´m not mistaken - one of the best in the game: About 27hp/ton. Ofcourse hp/ton doesn´t tell the whole thing but still... Comparing the acceleration to other lights I have, I think that Locust´s acceleration is little better than luchs` with the bigger turret. But I havent done any tests so would like the opinions of others aswell. :)
Speed loss while turning ain´t bad and this thing turns pretty decently. The turning is pretty close to leos in my opinion, but ofcourse not like luchs´ .
And the front armor can even bounce some shells and the very small size is also pretty good defence against enemy fire, if you just remember to strafe  ;) .

Together with these points and the fact that the matchmaking is capped at tier 5 (atleast the KV is the biggest tank I´ve encountered yet), this is just a very fun tank to drive.  :Smile_great:

Man, this game is unfair - for such a round, you should receive at least twice the XP. Jawdropping...

There's a thing about Locust: it had a Littlejohn adaptor (an invention used by the Brits), which increased its gun piercing capability to about 80mm. The only real usage of these tanks was in Operation Varsity, with British troops, so I think it should be taken into consideration.

The littlejohn adaptor was made for the 2PDR, not the 37mm. It was tested, along with many other sqeeze bore adaptors, but all where rejected
