Anyone know what the 1st and 3rd tanks are in the first post ? Aroused my curiosity ^^ (3rd one looks like a JgPanther, but a little bit different)

in4bfore thread gets locked for violating eula. (no postings about competition, especially not leaked imagery)

They look horrible. Rusted and worn out....like they actually just got pulled from a swamp 50 years later.

You imagine them wrong then.

Do you really think a military lets their tanks to rot away?

Show me a picture of any tank that has seen action that is still in 'show room' condition. Those tanks are nicely weathered as the modelling fraternity call it. I can't wait for the whine threads about OP dive bombers and rocket armed Typhoons etc when it does go live though.

That JagdPanther looks like it has been in the mud for a few decades.

A tank gets dirty really quickly, when I was in the army we basically washed them every time after we had used them. I imagine that when you're country is being invaded by millions of Germans you don't have the luxury of washing things. Heck, a lot of the time the tanks were driven straight out of the factory to the battlefield. Time was critical, and when time is critical you don't spend any of it washing down your tanks

I prefer WoT tank models.

Here's why: I don't want to stare at rusty tanks which look as if they were fished out of the lake where they rotted for decades. I want my tanks to look as if they just got out of the factory. Like this:

Why? Because that tank is beautiful. And tank covered in mud, dust and rust - is not.

And to your realism argument, this is what I will say:

IMO most of the tanks look very realistic. JagdPanther has very rusty/muddy sideskirts but the rest of the the models are excellent. Lets see if WG can come close when they decide to make HD models and textures.

Its not the dirt its the RUST. Average lifespan of ww2 tank was so short than it simply didn't had enough time to get rust before getting destroyed or damaged and then sent for repairs.

WT clearly outperform WOT in graphic. No need to talk about it. What makes me nervous is rolling battlefield with 1 ! HP. In planes it works well, in tanks who knows.

Directly from the scrapyard?

The models may look good but I can already tell that WoT is and will be better gameplay wise.

I'm talking about conditions they had often to go trough. Apparently they were not new, like just from the gift box like they're in wot. (Just after the bath.)

Comparison between kv2 from wot and wt:

I'm so glad that this is happening cos finally WG will see some competition and it is only good for us tankers  isn't it?

and this detailed comparison is the way how it should go further in both games (I wish)

it is almost a year 2014 and WOT is not looking like games should look these years

not at all

Tanks pulled out of swamps look better than WT tanks...

Who talks about show room conditions. Show me a tank in service which ROTS. You won't find - nil, nada, zero because that's the freaking tool of an army - and noone in the world neglects their tools so much that they rot away. Tanks get dirty - aye. They lose paint - aye (well, for a small amount of time - camo isn't too good if shiny metal gleams and gives away the tank). They rot like that JP - never.

What do you thinks tank did in WWII? Do a freaking Paris-Dakar but in swamps and rain? The fought, they got repaired, fixed and repainted, on the train they go and get transported to someplace else. Where they again had maintenance and stuff.

Yeah, in war every day in rain is like a decade...

Look at all these rotted away tanks:

what a shame that noone repaired them ever and they just rusted...
