Looks like WG are going to have some healthy competition pretty soon so they'll finally going to have to start showing us some respect or lose their playerbase in droves

as soon as WT gets some skill based matchmaking i'm done with WOT. If it gets the same siemkaPL-based random mm it doesnt really matter which one of the two yo are playing.

Indeed but then again world of tanks never needed to be competitive in the graphics department its all about gameplay IMO.

What am I looking for?. To be honest I just skipped through it thinking the same as VASF above, just another battlefield. You know its more for the younger age when you see capture points and big letters A B C so they don't get lost. Almost like quests in mmorpgs where it tells you where to go and what to do - no thinking involved. I tried WT a while back and wasn't impressed at all to be honest. Each to their own hay!.

Plays different then WoT. I wouldn't compare them per se.

I do hope they remove the gear thing. Switching eight times between fourth and fifth gear in just about a second would break your gearbox.

Either 1. He is trolling.

or 2. Because lets face it - he loves this game more but is butt-hurt for some reason on why this game hasn't gone his way for which ever reason.

My favourite thing is the shockwave of dust around the tank when it fires, it looks fantastic.

Unfortunately I'm at work on a metered connection and can't afford to use too many MB's on watching most the video but I watched bits of it and the tank movement, effects and surrounding flora looks amazing and much more realistic that WOT, I'll have a proper look when I get home.

It's closer to Red Orchestra 2 tanking. War Thunder tries for as close to realism gameplay yet World of Tanks is more aimed at arcade and fast fun gameplay. Both tank / plane games but have different gameplay goals.

Totally different gameplay. Atm you cant even compare WT and WoT, these are just 2 different games right now.

They introduced it in the last update. They abandoned the tier system and introduced skill based MM.

you die you respawn.......so when was this introduced IRL? It's one of the many things I don't like about WT and I keep hoping they DO TAKE OUR PLAYERS, well the 90% that can't tell the difference between red and blue, have no idea what that thing bottom right of screen is for and think the no matter what tank and where you are in MM you go to exactly the same place of all maps.

"As close to realism gameplay" - Re-read it. Even wannabe milsim games like ArmA still have gameplay mechanics that aren't realistic because they could have a negative influence on the core gameplay or fun of experiencing that gameplay. Developers always try to find a balance in realism and gameplay, even though their focus is realism for example.

Looks like arcade battles are the ones with re-spawn but they also seem to have other battle modes too like Historical and Real Life battles which I assume does not allow re-spawning.

Are you having a laugh? WOT has the enemy tanks glowing red for you in case you're half blind - it blings a light bulb on screen for you to tell you you're spotted, it tells you how much 'HP' you and your enemy have and even tells you how much of that you've knocked off with each hit. It tells you when the shot bounced or penetrated in case the indication of HP taken wasn't enough, it lets you ping all over the map to tell the others, in case they're even more blind, where the enemies can be found - on top of that which is already handed to you by default, you have Mods that tell you all the stats you need about each enemy, where the weak spots on their tanks are, so you don't really have to learn them, the ability to see the last known location of an enemy even after they disappear into camo, even what type of shell they're firing at you... and more! lol

In WT - GF, the markers above the bases are ALL you get

So you're saying WOT is even more for "younger age"? as it leads you by the hand a hell of a lot more. Yet you seem to have played it plenty enough ... hmmm.

I see a place for both. They're very different in feel and style.
